I have no idea why people are complaining about Vanya/Viktor, who cares?
The terrible thing in this episode was them not understanding how different timelines work (really, you're gonna go look for your child in a place where even if you exist there are 0 chances you'll be with the same man and have the same child) plus the whole fight scene in the pharmacy. Some punches and throwing of things affected those who threw them, other times they didn't. Why? How? What's the logic? It's getting crazy and not in a good way.

There's no explanation why that ball of fire sends ripples out that kill animals. That's one thing. The rest involves Klaus going to find his birth mother--out of the blue. We have Vanya transitioning. Why does it matter. It's a distraction. Anyway, Luther spending all that time with the Sparrows seems superfluous. Basically, though, it's slow moving and doesn't really accelerate the plot much. Is there another goal here other than to continue to survive in a world where you've been replaced. Allison's daughter has disappeared, probably the result of some time glitch in their transfwreing from 1963. Anyway, I wanted this to be over.
I really don't get why people are making such a big deal about this episode with Vanya transforming into Viktor. We all knew she became a he long before this season aired, so what did you expect? For him to play a girl the rest of the season?? Or for Vanya to just be Viktor from episode 1 and just not mentioning the transition at all?? Or for Elliot to be written out of the series just because he decided to change and some random snowflakes can't deal with that?? I mean with the obvious wig (terribly made btw) and the voice and facial features already being very boyish, him having to play a girl in the first episode personally gave me cringy feelings. I think they dealt with it well though. They dealt with the transition and pointed it out, without giving it too much attention for it to take away from the rest of the story. This has nothing to do with 'woke messaging', the fact that people perceive it that way says more about them than about the series writers really. The writers just had to deal with a change that needed to be dealt with to keep Elloit in this series. If that's really such an issue for you, then why are you still watching? You knew it was about to happen! 🤷♀️ My reason for giving this episode 'only' a 7 is because I felt most of it wasn't really going anywhere. The storylines felt a little random. As if the writers created something (a new 'supergroup') and now were at a point where they didn't really know where to go next with their storytelling.
After good start, this feels like a filler more than anything.
Considering the most memorable scenes were with Luther and Sloane, I find it to be odd considering my taste where I could just take what every Number Five did and put it on a pedestal.
And I don't get the renaming Vanya x Victor. I thought Vanya is actually man's name. So, why change it. It's just strange.

The other shoe finally drops and the show makes a good attempt to clarify and add context. Though this seasons subplots are totally off the rails random.
