I am only reviewing the first two episodes and they are close to the books in story but I just don't care I loved the books and quite like the movies but the series so far is just not doing it for me it's choppely edited and average acting Percy isnt particularly likeable and his squeaky voice is grating, Annabeth is just mean and comes across as a spoilt brat and the rest of the capm are just full blown mental I remember there is some animosity in the books with other campers but not like this. I could go on and on about what I don't like but I will say one good thing is the graphics it's clear no expense has been spared shame its wasted on a average (so far) series. Think I will give it an episode more to see if it improves but I was excited to see this and my hopes have been dashed, let's hope it can turn around.
I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher is an amazing episode. I have only watched 1 episode of this show, so I can't compare it to any other episodes. This episode is just really captive, you can really pay attention to it. This episode just has great special effects too, it's starting of as a great action series. Man, this series is starting off strong. My favorite characters so far are Percy and Gabe. All the characters are just very well made. I watched the 2 Percy Jackson movies, and they weren't bad, but this show beats those movies so far. I really like this series so far and I am excited to watch the second episode. Maybe I'll watch it today. In all, I give this a 8.4. A great series premiere.
As a fairly new fan of the books (finished reading the first 5 a few months ago), I have to say that this is a really good start to the show!
The first thing I'd like to compliment is the.casting, it's amazing! I think Walker Scobell is the perfect casting choice for Percy. From these first 2 episodes, he's done an amazing job. The rest of the cast is amazing as well. I also thought the Minotaur looked so cool, the CGI was great!
The only reason this isn't a 10/10 is because I just have some problems. Wished we spent more time at Yancy Academy and wished we got to see how abusive Gabe really is to Sally. Then again, I really did like seeing Sally talk back to Gabe so easily compared to the books. Other than that 9/10!

As a fan of Percy Jackson since I was in 5th grade, this is something this late 20's fan has been long awaiting. Look past the race swaps, and look at the acting and characters. The characters act the way they're meant to, the story takes the turns and focuses it's meant to. Obviously, things won't 100% be done the same because things don't always translate to film, but WOW am I genuinely excited to see where the rest of this season and (hopefully) five full seasons will do to introduce a new audience to this wonderful series that changed my love of reading at such a young age. 90% of correct adaptation is fine with me!
I can't wait for more to come!

The cgi is brilliant but there's only so long you can go ignoring the terrible acting. When I saw who the lead actor was for the new adaption, I was slightly excited since his acting skills were good from previous movies such as the Adam Project. But I have to say, the acting seems slow and sub par. The storyline a little haste as if they were rushing viewers to get to the main part which was the camp. Overall, not very excited to continue but will due to liking the previous Percy Jackson movie and curious to see how the cgi for other creatures looks like.
I did like the relationship between the mum and Percy but I think they could have delved more into the high school part of Percy Jackson or at least not added too much and delved into slowly.
