The Elder

I love how atmospheric this short feels, especially during the first scene where the villain is shown. James Hong gives a fantastically creepy performance and the two leads are likable enough. The final battle is incredibly well staged and I especially loved the way it ended.

Mainly because it was truest to star wars but also because it's approach to light saber duels is true to logical swordsmanship, not to be flashy like in normal star wars fashion, but true to how a real swordsman would fight with a sword made of LIGHT. Just like Corridor Crew approached it on their Youtube short.

Also a very nice short story, and voice acting in the English dub was also great.

I suppose this makes the Jedi master an elder to of some kind. I actually loved this.

I watched the English dub; how has David Harbor not been in anything Star Wars related until now? That seems like such an obvious casting. He was great here.

I thought this wa s yet another fascinating piece of Star Wars lore, and I doesn't feel very detached from canon stuff. Hearing them discuss how and why the Sith went extinct was cool. This period of Star Wars was one of my favorites in the Legends books.

The animation is once again beautifully done, with some decent choreography. My only complaint is the weird, drawn out silences. Not sure it's that big of a deal but it felt awkward to me.

Still, great stuff. This is another story I'd like to hear more of.

Unfortunatly to short. But the duels were typical Samurai duels. One of the stronger Episodes.

Very good and interesting story. I love the idea of learning jedis meeting unusual and mysterious sith lords. However the fights didn't quite get too me (definetly not the main focus of the episode).
