Eyes of Wakanda

Here again for a new Marvel product that no one asked for but that came out.

It's hard to think about who approves all these projects these days, and no one realizes that what the MCU needed was to get back to its roots so it could be reborn.

Is "Eyes of Wakanda" a bad series? No, it isn't.

Is it an unnecessary series? Absolutely.

It's with this premise that I sat down to watch the series, and it's really not bad. It has interesting points, expands the lore and history of Wakanda over hundreds of years, and even has a time-travel episode that ties in with the first film.

However, let's be honest, no one is going to watch this series, and just as there was no promotion for it, it will pass unnoticed on streaming. Only MCU fans and content creators will dedicate a few lines to it and then move on to more interesting projects.

All this makes me wonder if there's a future for this universe. After all, "Avengers: Doomsday" is just around the corner, and everything that preceded it and the current news suggests a huge disaster.

That must be why "Eyes of Wakanda" will be underrated despite having a couple of interesting concepts and many good things.

Eyes of Wakanda (2025) is the fourth entry in the Black Panther franchise and it is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now this is a show I went into with low expectations and I liked it a lot.

Positives for Eyes of Wakanda (2025): The animation for this show looks amazing. I like the idea of traveling throughout different timelines in Wakanda and seeing different characters doing things. There are some fun action sequences in these 4 episodes. The characters are interesting and you want to see more of them. And finally, this show is easy to binge through on Disney+.

Negatives for Eyes of Wakanda (2025): There are only 4 episodes in the mini series which is fine enough, but I wanted more from the story. I wanted to see more of Wakanda and what it was like before the character we have come to know. And finally, this mini series only exists because Disney needed something for people to watch on Disney+.

Overall, Eyes of Wakanda (2025) is a good animated mini series that did a good job at exploring the world of Wakanda in the past, but I also wanted more from this series.

I hadn't even heard about The Eyes of Wakanda until it popped up on my Disney+ dashboard. To be honest, it didn't immediately grab my attention. Given the uneven quality of recent Disney/Marvel projects, I went in with low expectations-and I couldn't have been more wrong.

I'm genuinely impressed by how the creators managed to craft a compelling story across just four episodes, especially when it initially seemed like it might lack structure. While I wouldn't call it the best thing I've ever seen, it's undeniably entertaining-enough to binge all four episodes in one afternoon.

I highly recommend giving The Eyes of Wakanda a watch. It's engaging, cleverly weaves in elements of Wakandan lore, and introduces some intriguing aspects of its history in a fresh and inventive way.

This show is breathtaking-not just in its animation but in its ambition. If you're hearing it's "not worth your time," check that noise at the door and experience it yourself.

Though some stories feel a bit rushed due to limited runtime, moments shine with real emotional stakes and world-building ambition.

If you've listened to the hype-either good or bad-give yourself a clean slate. Watch Eyes of Wakanda without the internet drama in your ears. You'll find a show that's loud in its beauty, grounded in its themes, and courageous in its storytelling.

Rating: 8/10. Gorgeous, bold, thoughtful, and absolutely deserving of praise. Don't let the noise drown out what this show truly is-it's a rare gem in Marvel's parade.

Marvel Studios' Eyes Of Wakanda is a four-part anthology series, with each episode following a different Wakandan War Dog during different time periods. With the nice animation, good action, well thought-through stories and interesting characters, it's a moderately entertaining mini-series that expands nicely on the lore of the Wakanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It may not necessarily be a good series, but it's definitely enjoyable. Unfortunately, there are way better ways to pass a couple of hours, and the contents of this series could quite easily be summarised in a 60-second video on YouTube or TikTok. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend it to casual fans. I'd only suggest that you watch it if you're a hardcore fan of the MCU, or you're a fan of Marvel Comics (because Episode 3 made me very happy as someone that's been a life-long fan of a particular mystical character).
