Nica Noelle founded Sweetheart Video for Canadian distributor Mile High Video, and this collection of 17 girl/girl scenes from the label's archive demonstrates the power of story/character/acting to give punch to XXX content.

Secret here is that vignettes are left integral, with enough time for character development, rather than the "cut to the chase" approach used for thousands of compilation videos.

Some obscure originals bear fresh fruit, notably "Lesbian Adventures: VIctorian Love Letters", yielding two scenes. One features filmmaker Nica Noelle in an acting role, opposite Nina Hartley, followed by a powerful May/December love scene pairing Magdalene St. Michaels with Nicole Ray. The period costumes, including tall, lace-up boots, add considerably to the atmosphere.

Nica is also featured in a NonSex role from "Elexis Unleashed", also a dramatic period piece, matching butch redhead Lily Cade with the great Elexis Monroe.

Other classic match-ups include exotic Satine Phoenix with Darryl Hanah, Zoe Britton and Nicole Sheridan plus a couple of vignettes starring MILF Kate Kastle, paired with Taylor Vixen and Lily LaBeau. In latter scene, Lily is a hitchhiker opposite pal Sinn Sage, with Sinn's NonSex role significant in bringing the story to life.

Madison Young is represented by two scenes: a conventional outdoor sex scene with Isis Taylor and then, from "Lesbian Babysitters 5", a kinky coupling with Aiden Ashley in which Young is very, very pregnant.
