A once original & fresh idea now into it's 3rd season with the same emotive tropes leveraged again & again. People allow the viewer deep into their addictions to consumerism, ironically punctuated by advertising from some of the largest retailers in Australia. The time pressured renovations provide some simple solutions to make living spaces more practical & aesthetically appealing. Comic relief arrives in the form of Angie Kent taking on peripheral projects that either defile household items beyond the categorisation of rubbish or repurpose them as ghastly decorated 'upcycled' clutter. The positive? Clearing out the crud isn't left for the kids to do one day.
