I really enjoyed the lead actress Cemre Baysel in Senden Daha Güzel (TV Series 2022), that I sought out another series that she is in and found this one. I was not sorry either, Cemre was wonderful as Ada in this Turkish Romantic Comedy.
The story is about Ada who kindheartedly agrees to marry an Albanian immigrant named Rüzgar, who she meets while attending college, in order to help him gain Turkish Citizenship. Even though their marriage has been in name only (they live together but have different bedroos), Ada thinks she is in love with Rüzgar and when she sees him with an engagement ring thinks she is on the verge of a true marriage and happy life with her first love. You see Ada comes from a long line of superstitious women who believe that if they do not marry their first love, they are doomed to a tragic life of unhappiness. (One of the funnier moments is the sharing of the family photo album/scrapbook that depicts the long history of their unhappy lives and tragic events.) Ada's parents have both passed away and she was raised by two aunts...one who is living a tragic live because she didn't marry her first love and the eldest who in a marriage of opposites married a short man who loves her but with whom she initially didn't love (she is super tall...so they are visually quite comical together).
Ada being the kind hearted soul that she is...also pursuing her first love, drops out of school to work 2-3 jobs in order to help out Rüzgar who becomes a photographer at an on line newspaper (she helps him finish school, buys his camera, etc.). Rüzgar is ultimately kind of a selfish character and when Ada catches him kissing one of his coworkers...she decides to take a job at his place of work, which she has to lie saying she completed her college education, in order to get her fake husband/first love back. There she meets the boss, Bora.
This is one of those romantic comedies were our romantic lead ends up getting embroiled in all of these lies that snowball out of control.
The chemistry between the two leads is great and there story is quite good. Tugçe is a wonderful quasi villain. The Rüzgar character was really interesting and almost a secondary villain himself.
One complaint I had was that Bora's response to uncovering the lie was particularly harsh and then his method of punishment was more like degradation and that is really hard to come back from romantically. Sometimes too much is just that...too much, I am not sure I would have come back from that.
Overall this was a good solid romantic comedy on the shorter side at 17 episodes, that I would recommend to romantics out there. I particularly liked the interaction between Ada's family and Bora's family. Orphaned Elif really stole the show!

It has amazing cast, really good plot and i love it you should watch i'm professional in watching best tv series and you should trust me it's really good so far.
Honestly after following a good number of Turkish romcoms, I have noticed only some on them tend to stick to their theme of being a romcom, whereas most of them enjoy basking over the ocean of emotion or drama, because Drama is indeed very enticing. However, in a world of pandemic packed with back to back doses of drama, this dizi (series) is so endearing to watch. Firstly the show is in it's 3rd episode, yet it has covered all the romcom tropes we have desired in our past favourite shows. 2nd and very importantly, kudos to the writers for being able to deliver some serious emotion evoking issues through a jovial and playful platform. That actually makes you stronger to face those real circumstances, instead of sitting down with boxes of tissues.
Finally, the show is a romcom to it's very deep end. That is apart from the storyline focusing on the rendezvous of the pair, it will make you laugh like crazy.
To sum up here is the storyline- With the developing trend of attaining citizenship, many marry for it. Just like that a girl happens to marry a boy to grant him immigration. However, it is in about days when she discovers the boy who she is married to and happen to worship is sort of in an affair with another woman from his company. To save her marriage, she decides to get work in that company, only to meet the man who she actually falls for. Yes the very clichéd boss- assistant romance. However it is packed with volumes of laughter rather than the typical eye glances. Also here is the actual twist, the woman who had an affair with her husband, is actually head over heels in love with this boss in the company. So yeah, it's a love triangle. However, it's so refreshing to watch. And it makes you question yourself about serious things in life, for example are we actually in love with a person we think we are in love with?
Do tune in every Tuesdays on Kanal D to watch it live at 8pm. And if you don't understand Turkish, watch it with subtitles.

The reason why I watched this show at first was mainly because I wanted to see Cemre Baysel as the female lead and I was so glad 'Baht Oyunu' was her breakthrough as the first lead. I kind of remember her as the annoying girl "Biricik" in 'Sol Yanim' and I also thought at that time that she would be a big star in the near future. Well, if you notice, Cemre Baysel has a beautiful and attractive look to be the female lead in a show. It was a good thing that she took her first main role in 'Baht Oyunu'. She successfully played her character, Ada, in her very own way and undeniably funny as well as adorable here.
However, 'Baht Oyunu' wasn't that extraordinary show. It was quite entertaining at first few episodes but it had too much going on for a very simple storyline. The story was quite cliche, the additional characters were not too important for the whole show and too many unnecessary scenes.
Anyway, you all do not need to worry since 'Baht Oyunu' has a happy ending and beautiful closing. Good bye Ada and Bora, welcome Cemre and Aytac! Cheers!! 👍👍👍

Really obsessed with this series..😍 Ada's innocence and Bora's intelligence will surely make all the people fall in love with the drama.. The funny incident and that of the romance between them is like a rollercoaster ride. Must watch.. ❤❤
