9.3/10 Absolutely stunning animation, characters, and opening. The ED is also very nice. The story is fresh and interesting; I'm not the bingeing type at all, yet I was able to for this. Nazuna (love interest) is amazing and Ko (the protag) is a great pair for her. My only real issues with the show are clichés. It falls into a few of them (one notable is a huge age gap which I don't care for). But again, it manages to stay fresh and stands out as itself. The colors are beautiful, and they really put effort into the background. Now, for the plot. Very entertaining, easy enough to follow, yet not too simplistic. I'm actually interested in the world building and wish to see more of the series. In short, I am truly happy with this show.
Not a big fan of romantic comedy, but this one is a gem. Well written, well developed characters,. The story is decent, it has a funky vibe. Love the music, even if I don't understand the lyrics. Ko a 14 years boy mid schooler suffering from insomnia, decides to walk the streets at night, where he meets Nazuna, a young adult girl that later turns to be a vampire. Ko bored of the same every day existence, decides to become a vampire, and enjoy the freedom of the night. In order for Ko to become a vampire, he has to fall in love with Nazuna but don't know how. And so the story begins. Will recommend to anyone who likes anime no matter the genre preference.
The show excels in its moody, neon-lit visuals, perfectly capturing the allure of nighttime and the freedom it represents.
One of the strongest aspects is the soundtrack-even though I don't speak Japanese, the music adds so much to the show's dreamy, hypnotic vibe. The OP and ED are particularly catchy, and the background tracks enhance the emotional and action-packed moments.
Ko's aimless personality might frustrate some viewers, though his growth (or lack thereof) is part of the story's charm. Nazuna, meanwhile, is a fun and unpredictable lead, but I wish we got more backstory on her and the vampire lore.
It leaves enough unanswered questions to make me hopeful for a Season 2-here's hoping we get one!

I'm not a fanboy saying "perfect" to a romcom anime because I just liked the girl :D but this show is really close to being perfect.
After watching Horimiya, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Sing Yesterday for Me and Higehiro recently I have some fresh experience to make a comparison here.
Horimiya and Rascal came on top for me but I had one major issue with both, that those strong MCs introduced in the first few episodes are just getting neglected later on and all we are left with are just some subpar side characters. *meh* I just watched till the end to know what happens with our beloved MCs, while I could not get really involved in the side characters' story *meh* (Both shows are great, don't get me wrong, I gave 8/9 for both.)
So, Call of the Night just doesn't forget about its MCs, not at all, there are new characters introduced, but the story still revolves around Nazuna and Ko mostly, which is cool. Also, not too much school life here, no cute little girls, no annoying whiny characters, the story usually happens in the night, it's a bit dark and the humor is sarcastic and adult. Nazuna's teasings are gold. The ending was a safe play, I'd say, but nonetheless, it was good and I liked how it addressed certain topics. (No spoiler intended.)
And there are other factors like the artistically beautiful presentation of the night city life, the awesome soundtrack, the retro neon vibes and the wholesome and mature script.
I've never expected to get interested in a vampire story, but here we go. :)
(The only complaint I can make is about our boy, he should have been a little bit more interesting, imho.)

Absolutely breathtaking animation/art, one of the best I've seen. The two main characters have a cute, fun relationship and I hope something blossoms between the two.
