Opinión destacada
Nicolas, a young director from Georgia, feels that his talent and innovative spirit is captive, and decides to move to France, hoping to make the films he has always dreamed of.
The film is relatively recent (2010), however, it has an older feeling, due to the quality of the production, which plays in its favor, in certain way.
The story isn't complex, focusing essentially on the way in which many artists are forbidden from expressing their art, either by imposition by government officials, in a criticism of censorship that still lingers in many States, or by imposition of studios, in a criticism of bureaucracies and dogmas of the film industry, more specifically of the European school.
There's nothing that makes the spectator "cheer" for the main character, he's empty, and his genius isn't expressed in any way, making him uninteresting.
The main theme is interesting, and that's the best thing in the whole movie.
