The original movie was not a statement about sexuality or mental health. It's laughable to include these elements in a series about a fictional gang. I'm a big fan of the original Warriors movie. It was a great escapist film about a fictional gang. This T. V series trailer needs some work but is looking great. The original film was a great action movie and thriller of sorts. It was all about brotherhood. The main attraction were the actual gang fights, which were amazing. It was not a social commentary. Just make a series with lots of action and cool gang fights. Keep to the original fictional model. Don't bombard the viewer with social tripe, let them escape the real world.
