all the sauces

My opinion was a little unpopular, but I found ep1 & 2 to be a little off and just overall bland, not up to typical Barry standard, in my own humble opinion at least. I personally don't love the Barry/Sally abuse storyline, idk to me it just feels a bit forced when looked at in the context of Barry's previous behavior around her, even though I know the writing on this show is brilliant and they've been setting the groundwork for this to at least be a possibility since S2.

My point is though, besides that (which still isn't bad by any means) I feel like this show is now two weeks in a row, 10/10 firing on all cylinders. The writing and the comedy is as good as it's ever been and these last two episodes have been disappointingly short... at least that's how they felt. Can't wait to see where this all goes, the set-ups for where the story is going is just edge of your seat stuff...and Hader, just wow, I didn't know he had these performances in him!

Being a huge fan of both Season 1 and 2 I felt like season 3 hasn't quite touched me in the same way. That all changed with this latest episode! That mix of suspense, raw emotion, drama and comedy was fully present and accounted for. I loved every moment and was on the edge of my seat at times. Incredible acting, beautiful cinematography and lots of laughs! 9/10 can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes!

I'll start with the positive points. The app sequence was comedy gold! I also like the continuing Cristobal and Noho Hank developments and how things are looking up for Gene's acting & his family. Everything thing else was just a major bummer. Sally is a superficial hypocrite. She consciously treats Natalie as sub-human every day and she has been treating Barry like a lapdog, ordering him around every day. I don't believe the close-minded conclusion of her Gen-X co-star is justified. And Fuches? Even at his best has always been the worst for Barry but at least in the past their were some redeemable characteristics. Now I just hate every scene that he is in. Regarding the producers even the lack of a behind the scenes and the strange few second next episode preview feels like they are saying "we know how we made you feel and honestly we just don't care".

The bomb scenes were great, loved the sense of alarm the bombs constant warning messages (in a language i couldnt pick) brought the characters and then the app scene, I laughed through that all from parking lot to detonation.

Brought back the hilarity of old 'bum rush' scenes from first season.

This season is in a good place.

That last scene was pure gold. This season seemed to be slipping a bit last episode but a great redemption here with funny writing that ties in storylines from the previous seasons. Now I also wish to try all the sauces at BWW.
