Are people really complaining about sex scenes in a show called SEX and the City? An HBO production? Really?! You could not make this up. Have you all become puritans?
I was actually surprised by the nudity but I command the ladies for doing it. Why should only young people have sex scenes. That's so ageist.
Anyway, the premiere wasn't that bad. I still haven't warmed up to the new characters but it's not fair on them since the other 3 had multiple seasons of character development.

Absolutely horrible.
No storyline whatsoever, nothing happening at all. During all 45 minutes of the episode we do not get one single piece of relevant information or a fun dialogue. The whole episode is just unimportant, boring chit-chat.
Furthermore, there is too much unnecessary and distasteful nudity which the original SATC would never display. The series is ruining the original series' reputation. It is tedious, shameful and, I am sorry for saying this but straight up CRINGE. I also feel the acting got worse than that from SATC! It is forced and the children in the series play better than adult actors.
Spare yourself the trouble, boredom and waste of time and please do not watch the show. There is nothing remotely entertaining or positive about it.

I tried watching ep one of season 2 and had to turn it off 6 minutes in due to the cringe levels. This production is so forced and contrived. It's down one thing, though, and that's this: And Just Like That causes me to look back on the second movie fondly, that movie was worlds better than this story. I have to get ton 609 characters so I'm just gonna stream-of-consciousness write now.
This show is sad and silly. Why are there so many characters and dumb storylines? Why would Miranda still be in touch with the professor she worked with for just a semester? Also, is Miranda's alcoholism cured bc she's now a living life as a lesbian? Just such a poorly written story.

The only good thing about the show if you want to spare 45 min of your day is cool outfits. The three main characters all of whom are in 50s in 2020s talk like they're still in their 30s in the 90s. They don't talk like real women do at all
When SATC was airing in 30-min time slots twenty+ years ago, the dialogues fit the times and they were sharper.
Michael Patrick King needs to retire. He, as a developer, producer, writer, AND director of the series, clearly has too much control of the narrative and writing, not to mention the rest. He's making all the women characters and other straight characters talk like young, single, pretentious gay men in their youth. Maybe that's how he and his circle talk, still today, even if the man is in his sixties.
I'm a straight woman who has many male gay friends. The way the dialogues go, remind me so much of young gay men's chats. That in itself is fine, the problem is MPK is turning the original SATC characters, that are not gay men, into himself or people like him. Egoism at its worst.
I feel sad that the actresses continue to sign up and act in these series. Are they totally blind to how there's no substance to their characters or storylines anymore, or are they doing it for the hype or the money?
Kim Cattrall was certainly smart to distance herself from these installments and keep her retuning appearance in this season to very minimum.
It's a totally lost show dragged on by a clearly very self-absorbed person that's perpetually projecting himself in the creative process that should never be so indulgent, supported by equally self-absorbed cast.
So. Very. Sad.

Sorry to say that, but this was the worst 45 minutes of a TV Show I watched mhhh let me say in the last 25 years or so. Unbelievable bad in every way. Really I don't know where to start. Let us begin with the script: Really, I mean really? Women in their mid to end 50's behave, react an speak like they are in their 30's? This is so cringe. I had to laugh from the begining. Is this show concepted as a comedy? OK, than it works for me.
The dialogues: Sorry, really sorry I mean I don't know any women in ther mid or late 50's who are speaking in that way. It's ridicolus.
The characters: All cliches hurray. For example the gay men in this show are obvisously camp. Why?
It's all so bad. Really. Skip this show. It's a waste of your lifetime.
