Unlike the other Finnish series that some seem to prefer (Bordertown), I prefer this one. The main thing for me is that this series stays focused on the main story and has characters that are fairly believable, unlike the other series. No irritating music, teen dramas, drug and graphic violence scenarios, and no family members becoming involved in the crimes and being victimized. Here you have themes of corruption, greed, politics, journalism and the impact of social media all coming together in a logical way. Although the ending is a bit abrupt and perhaps not all it could have been, at least there is a rational wrapping up here. The characters and roles are well developed and the acting mostly very believable. The pace is good and it has enough tension and twists to keep you interested. The dialogue and writing is solid and although there are a few missteps (the short-lived affair between the two journalists), most relationships are realistically portrayed. Another nice little gem from Scandinavian shores. Best watched in the original language with subtitles.
