It's as if someone tried entering a prompt which sounded something like 'make a mystery story about a modern diverse group of people with elements from Lost' and the AI has created a mashup of everything it thinks should make a mystery.
The amount of plot holes this show has amassed is enormous. Character stories and lines are being forgotten and then resurfaced several episodes after. There's a guy who several weeks later still yells at people. Another one who spends his days sitting on top of the bus. A kid with stick that he walks with even at home. And a lot of other 'distinct' characters. They are all kinda relatable but they just don't work as a group. The immersion stops as soon as they start to interact with each other. It just feels wrong.
I also remember when in previous episodes they hurried to get inside at the first sense of the evening. In this episode? They just couldn't care less. This inconsistency just throws off. And it applies to almost every aspect of the show.
In other words. Great potential, completely wasted.

I gave the episode a 10 because compared to the other episodes of this season especially episodes 3-6 it is light years ahead. It almost frustrates me though because I wonder why many of these things were not done earlier in the season.. theres only two episodes left in season 2!
I love the idea of there maybe being ppl involved on the inside and it was interesting how the show started shining a line on different ppl like Victor and Sara and revealing quirks they have that might not be as innocent as we thought like vixtor not entering the house.
Jade screaming and chasing victor down is kind of how we as the viewer have felt all season. Why cant these people just share one iota of information with eachother calmly? Either someone starts screaming or we step into a big pile of sassy and someone just walks out of the room. But in this episode we are getting some answers. Up until now there has literally been zero progression, let alone any conclusions, from the questions that arose at the end of last season. They even started more even zanier situations and further questions without resolving anything.
Having more and more crazy and weird things happen is fine i suppose if at the end of the story you can tie it all together. It makes sense if the ending to this story/show is already written but its not and every writing team that takes over in the future will have to figure a way as painless as possible to tie it all together. So stop adding new ingredients to this soup it was interesting enough, we need to see the light at the end of a tunnel soon and this episode we got something to chew on. Is Donna in on it because she always just appears to throw water on everything the moment ppl start working together?

Episode 8 just introduced new risks, the feeling that something significant and horrific is going to happen just around the corner. Randall is also one of the new highlights of each episode, introducing a theorist to the show, someone who doesn´t just settle in and just like that believes everything is as it seems, but actually tries to find answers to all these things no one else have actually taken there time to think about yet.
This is definitely one hell of a great episode that you just cant miss if liked the last episode and most of season 1.

Shortened summary: In ep8 Randall & Jim teams up to try and find answers to these mysteries & questions which seems obvious, but no one else have asked yet.

Scores reflect many things. This one should get a bit higher. As for a horror blended series which is not common nowadays this one mixes horror with lost style very fine. 10/10 horror 9/10 series. Well done in many aspects. Some characters maybe better some maybe more interesting but overall they feel ok. Setting and events have mystery, horror and bleak atmosphere. This series hold you tight and sometimes releases for daily events as casual audience may have issues as if this series was shortened and made a 3 X 2 = 6 hours movie it will be scarier than most movies out there. Special series for sci fi fantasy mystery horror genre fans.

- TriviaThis episode's title is part of a common expression "can't see the forest for the trees," which means that someone is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole.
