Sic Semper Systema

Episode 4 sees the heartbreak of the loss of the white tiger. Matt is given a probono case in the meantime which is petty misdemeanour. On the side he wants to find out who ended Hector but runs into many answers over and over again, the system is broke and nobody is there for the small guy. Matt visits a familiar face while coming to terms with his loss. Fisk and Vanessa confront their issues while Fisk has a vision for the city he wants to execute.

Yea a decent episode probably the least going on of the 4 so far, the dialogue 1-1 are good, the message is creeping up to pull the devil back out on the streets and I had a feeling we were getting an episode like this and as long as we start out of the gate next week the slower pace here is justified. 7/10.

Seriously, 4 episodes in and still no Daredevil in the flippin Daredevil show. They should have just called this "Hell's Kitchen Law" or "Matt Murdock attorney at Law" because this is a flipping JOKE.

First off, anyone who gave this episode better than a 7 is a shill and probably on Disney's payroll. Everyone who knows what went on behind the scenes knows this show was already in production and was so bad that Jon Bernthal refused to do the show and walked off until they fixed the show.

So from what rumors escaped, the show WAS going to focus on the courtroom, which the writers clearly have NO idea how to write given how the most BASIC of courtroom procedure was ignored in episode 3 where the prosecution was given closing arguments after the Defense. Even a child knows that the Defense always gets the last word in American courts. Sadly I feel that Disney had filmed so much they didn't want to throw it all away and they allowed much of the courtroom insanity to stay in the show. Hopefully things will get better, but right now this show is dying.

Though a downgrade from the last episode, this is still good. I love the dialogue between Frank and Matt, definitely made kingpin more interesting and complex which I love. Some of the therapy parts with him and his wife are not very entertaining, slow episode and not really much to say about it other than it being kinda bland. The last bits with Frank and Matt really save the episode for me. They dragged it too long, and this is definitely not an episode that should have been the second longest, but it's alright nonetheless. If I could give it a 6.5 I would. Excited for the rest of the series.

The first two episodes showcased that this show is clearly two different shows being put together and for me it worked for the most part. However this episode the seams are very very clear.

There's a lot of clashing elements here that are thematically disconnected and it really took me out of it. Several characters and scenes in this episode are so out of place or just unnecessary to focus on. There's also a character who appears that made me smile for sure but his inclusion is so out of the blue and does not contribute to what is already going on.

I really really hope the melding of these two different creative visions are more smooth from this point forward.

This was excruciatingly dull. I don't care about the boot-licker Fisk Fanboy. I don't care about Matt's girlfriend, I don't care about his law firm or any of the supporting cast. The couple counseling sessions...why? They're trying to be the Sopranos? The show is SO predictable so far and not compelling in the least.

If the director is trying to make me believe that a small alcohol bottle rolls in the same trajectory as a bullet casing (which doesn't weigh the same at all), he has another thing coming.

The return of you-know-who was underwhelming AF. If someone told me this show was based on a comic book, and I didn't know better, I'd think they were lying.
