Hadinelentu

Finally got to watch it today and that too because the film is now uploaded on youtube because well OTT players and their hypocrisy. I liked the film and definitely regret missing out on watching this early this year when I did get the chance. Prithvi Konanur's Hadinelentu deals with a sensitive issue involving two seventeeners and how the adults handle the issue which would impact the kids future directly. The realistic approach, the sensitive handling of the subject and the natural performances, had me impressed. Ofcourse the known faces amongst the starcast was always reassuring and these big names carried the film through.

Kudos to the director and team for the making, staging of the scenes by restricting much of it inside a room and lesser close up shots until necessary. The turns the case takes post interval was top notch. The mystery behind that board president added much more to the drama than bringing that character on screen. Ofcourse it's all about perspectives and the narrative builds on that by revealing each individual's take on the girl. Praises for that one courtroom scene as well and for not deviating from the harsh reality. It's a battle Deepa's character has to fight eventually and shedding light on the events that led her to it was deftly handled. Strongly recommended.

This movie needs to be among one of the best movies made out of kannada industry. The writing, the direction and the performances are top notch. The treatment of the movie is so realistic that you feel as it's happening in and around you. The writing is so strong, there is commentary on class and caste but nowhere the film takes sides or gets preachy that's what makes this film so good. The treatment of the issue at hand the subtle commentary on economic backgrounds are really praise worthy. It explores human nature how we tend to take sides depending on our judgement. The characters here are so well written.

I definitely want to watch other movies from this director.

Loved how it tackles caste and social dynamics head-on, offering a nuanced perspective. The characters are depicted with realistic complexity, avoiding clear-cut distinctions between good and bad.

Additionally, the film is likely to pass the Bechdel test. That was fantastic

I was quite skeptical going in and even when the movie started. But I was pleasantly surprised at how gripping the movie was and the relevance of the movie in today's world. The multi dimensional twists were fantastic. The theme is bold and the twists are bolder.

The simple setup and acting by every actor is a highlight. I'm so impressed with the movie that I am telling all my network of people about it and pushing them to go watch it asap although it's uncertain of the delivery channel.

Finally the Kannada movies have arrived for a different persona. I'm in fact proud of the movie as if I made it!!!

Please go ahead and watch this movie and you will not be disappointed for sure.

Very well crafted movie with so many good elements. Story telling is brilliant. It's so natural that we never feel people are acting. It's one exceptionally very well casted movie. Generally when there is north Karnataka dialect the slang and tone are not appropriate. In this case as the casting is all from north Karnataka itself, nativity is very well handled.

Movie has so many twists and we never feel it exaggerated and unnatural. It's all day to day mistakes which look so big with time.

I would recommend everyone to watch and even support monetarily so that they continue to make such masterpiece.
