Let me start off by saying I am a HUGE fan of nature documentaries. Some are better than others ( hello David and Bertie) but all serve an incredibly important purpose - transporting us to different ecosystems and their inhabitants so we may have a better understanding of how crucial their role is in the grand scheme of life on this planet. Having said that, some of these documentaries can be very dry, academic and downright depressing. But not Underdogs. Just seconds into the intro I began laughing out loud. It's audacious, hilarious AND informative. PLEASE Ryan, create more of this fun-filled exploration of Underdogs. Parents: getting ready to do a lot explaining.
Ryan Reynolds narrating - funny, engaging and entertaining. His storytelling, laced with humour, perfectly complements the visuals.
The series itself ranges from the large animals of Africa, to cuter ones in Bali, India sea creatures and also insects.
The Carnivorous larvae of the fungus gnat in New Zealand (pretty glow worms), spiders (of course) and other small life forms.
You'll never look at child raising the same way again.
Some of it is funny, the brutal attempt by jackals to dismantle and eat Barry the Honey Badger, the fall of the baby artic geese from 800ft up, the sh***y defense (literally) of male hippos, it is NOT for the squeamish.
We all know about vultures meals and the cat iron stomachs but did you know all the different vulture specialities? The Bu** eater for instance?
It is a fascinating and well produced documentary, perhaps not all suitable for the children though.
It starts with meals, and defence, seeking a mate, sex practices, moves on to birth, child rearing, and covers the grossiest habits of the gross creatures around the planet finally.
Eeeww.....but very very interesting. One of the best ones and highly recommended.

I love watching nature documentaries as is, but if you make them funny it's so much better!
I've adored Ryan Reynolds since he was on Fifteen! To see people badmouth the documentary BECAUSE of him, is ludicrous! His humor helps deal with some of the tough realities of Mother Nature. Sometimes watching buzzards going at it can be a lot and we need have gallows humor to help us find the way!
I hope there will be a new season!

Sorry Morgan Freeman, from now on Ryan Reynolds needs to narrate everything!!
This show is fantastic. Excellent camera work, not the usual animals being featured and Ryan Reynolds brand of humour bringing it all together.
This is how to get people who aren't interested in nature shows to enjoy them.
An excellent choice of music that really suits the situations being shown mixed with references to movies and pop culture are such a great combination I'm surprised it hasn't been tried before and Ryan Reynolds is truly an inspired choice for this role.
I hope there are many more seasons to come.

Where is the line we can't cross? Right there? Can I put my baby toe over it? No? How about my overgrown big toenail??
And that's all you need to know LOLLLLL Hilarious, sassy, maybe not for your kids and all you expected from a nature series narrated by Deadpool. Everything I'd hoped...my cheeks hurt! :-)
Also, I actually learned about some creatures if never heard of in all the other David Attenborough shows I've ever watched. Enjoyed every episode, all the jokes, and believe it or not it is filmed REALLY well!
This show was awesome, I'd totally recommend it to the 13+ nature show enthusiast!

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe filmmakers wanted Ryan Reynolds to narrate, so they created a sizzle reel with a sound alike. Ryan loved it so much, he recorded his own narration to the photage and sent it back in
