The Red Dragon and the Gold

Up there with some of the best episodes of peak GoT. Was on the edge of my seat throughout.

Absolutely raw, brutal and rivetting. I was glad to see that the dance of the dragons was as epic as I imagined it while reading the books. It meant the world to see such a faithful adaptation.

This episode called for the highest number of VFX shots in the season, and it delivered. You can see a lot of money was thrown at the screen and everything sticked the landing.

The character arcs are finally starting to burst and all the consequences of the actions throughout the series are starting to blossom, may it be good or bad. Very exciting time to be a GoT fan.

I was so excited for this episode, and oh boy did it deliver!

This season promissed us war, and after the set-up in the previous episodes, we finally get a glimpse of what we can expect from this show!

This episode was marvellous! Incredible visuals, set pieces and directing! I was on the edge and very pleased! It was exciting and tense in the best way! They really went all out with this one, and they knew they had to!

Not only did the episode look fantastic, the story and development was equally great and stunning! Some turns i did not see coming and great character moments!

My excitement for what is to come reached a new high, and I am on board with the rest of the season!

The rising tension in the council with Otto gone is amazing, showing the respect for Aegon declining with the only real player out of the council. Leading to his growing irrationability, which makes complete sense, the loss of his son, the advice from Alicent, and Aemond plotting behind his back, all plays a huge part of the climax this episode and i love it. It also shows just how sinister Aemond is, and how he has grown from being the bullied brother to the biggest threat to peace in the kingdom, while having to deal with his brother as a pretty useless king. The acting was also phenomenal this episode, i think every single character was nearly flawlessy acted and it deserves applause. The desensitized state Alicent is in as she realizes Viserys never wanted Aegon on the throne, the anger, yet happiness from Jacaerys when Rhaenyra returns, the emotional moment from Rhaenys and the confused state of Daemon while at Harrenhal was magnificently put together.

This truly is the best of the best.

Wow ! I have read the book before but I can easily say the show has over the top quality for representing what was on the books, IM SO satisfied for what i saw on this episode everything was great and unique.... IM so excited for the next episodes!.and I hope it'll be the same level as this episode or more , it was one of the best episodes on the world of game of thrones, and for me it's the best episode on this show...till now. The characters are more deeply then it was on the books and everything on this show makes sense especially with the main character and their path Thank you HBO for making this masterpiece alive!

This is in my eyes the best episode of House Of The Dragon so far. I adored season 1 episode 8 for Paddy's performance and the nature of him taking his stance to help his daughter, as it was a pivotal moment in the show that set in stone the events that are now occurring. But this episode brought back the intensity to this universe that Game Of Thrones once had, but bringing to a whole new level with sequences that could never have been done in GOT. Despite being the same universe and locations, due to the time we're in this is a whole new world with the dragons dancing, and the season 1 finale was just a taste of what was to come. Alicent should have done anything in her power to stop this, but even if she tried I believe this outcome was inevitable and maybe she understood that. War is the foundation of this world, and with dragons involved and plotting behind the councils back, no house can stop this war with words. A barrage of blood is all that'll be left, and if this was just a taste then we're in for another classic television experience.
