Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson) with a penchant to solve puzzles. She is a single mom who works as a cleaning lady at the police precinct.
After she knocks a murder case file off the desk. She manages to deduces that the main suspect to the crime Lynette Acosta, the wife of the murdered man is also a victim.
When the police notice that the board has been tampered with. They bring in Morgan and are impressed with her abilities.
They now have to figure out what happened to Lynette Acosta.
There has been a trend for female crime solving geniuses. High Potential joins Poker Face and Elsbeth. The latter two owe more than a nod to Columbo.
The pilot of High Potential seems to do a bit more of its own thing as a crime procedural. This was a strong opener, it was fun and enjoyable.

This was an amazing start to a series! The lead character is phenomenal - so funny & likable! I literally laughed out loud at least 3 or 4 times. So far, the supporting characters seem interesting as well. The backstory, that they seemingly will connect as time goes on, is very intriguing! I'm hooked and can't wait to watch more! Give this show a shot! I'm not sure I've seen a show like this before! I'm into law enforcement shows, but this has more of a comedic edge to it than straight forward law enforcement shows! I just hope this show gets a chance so we can see what the characters can truly do!
I love. Kaitlin Olsen! I enjoy watching this as an "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" spin off of sorts. This feels like Sweet Dee's dream come true. The show is a little cheesy and over produced. It's the kind of bad that tends to be sucessful on major networks. It's easy to dismiss as a Monk type. But, the trope of neuro-atypical detectives has been around for way longer than that, it's hard to think of a murder mystery show with a neuro-typical lead. This feels like a great guilty pleasure. If I could write a review without rating the show I would. As it stands I'm giving it 10/10 because I think the show succeeds at hitting all it's targets and I want to see Sweet Dee succeed after watching her get capped on for years.
I could almost say the lines before they were spoken. In a few scenes I knew what was going to happen next... kinda like The Force; And... I still really enjoyed this show and will watch more.
Good to see the talented Olson here and I've missed Judy Reyes... so good to see that Carla (IYKYK) is back!!
Super cute, endearing kids. Olson is funny, and a little more human, not the constant comic in every line we usually see from her.
Good to see Mr. Smulders (joking... kinda) here, he's talented and will add some good comedic timing/levity. Plus I'd be thrown off always wondering "who's watching kids?"
Let's hope this series can make it. Good luck to the creators, actors, writers and crew!

I love Olsen and her work on Curb, always Sunny and the Mick, so I had to check this out.
I also love Judy Reyes from scrubs. I was looking forward to a fun "monk" -like show, but this pilot unfortunately falls short of those expectations.
The side characters are not as interesting and it's just nowhere near as funny. The hook of a super genius is a bit convenient, and also, it's been done a bunch in other shows anyway. It has that generic network-tv look about it.
Also, the plot demanded that the cops don't check obvious 101 leads so Olsen can be the one to point out the right way, plus the mystery is insanely convoluted it makes Monk and House look super basic and quaint by comparison.
I'll keep watching and hope it gets better. I would like to see the show give Olsen as much comedic rope as possible.
