Axel in Harlem

Axel in Harlem is nothing short of a masterpiece. The riveting tale of a man helping others to find themselves really hit home with me. My family and I watched this together, and after the showing ended and we all walked out of the theater, my children couldn't stop humming the hit song, Ballin' by Roddy Rich. I couldn't help but shed a tear when that song started booming in the speakers of the cinema, and whenever I hear that song, I am always reminded of the unforgettable experience that the geniuses at Animan provided to their viewers. My family and I join hands every night and pray for a sequel to be announced sometime soon. An epic tale for the ages, and truly a shift in the animation genre. This has set a new standard for children's movies. I look forward for whatever Animan has in store for us.

Axel In Harlem is a powerful little short film, and while I'm not precisely sure when the setting is, it sets the tone perfectly for something swell. Unlike modern films where the directors seem to just be pulling out ideas like 'Where can we put something wacky today' this one exists for a purpose. And unlike modern films where it either degenerates into pure shock value that isn't even worth calling 'art' or it steers away from any controversy at all, this one has its quirks. I don't want to put any spoilers, so you'll have to see for yourself. It has a cult following too, and if you're seeing this review there's a good chance you're hooked and wanted to find out more info so you came to the IMDb like me!

How animan studios was able to create a beautiful masterpiece like this is a mystery. The story has gotta be the perfectest story to a anything. Take notes Hollywood. Not only is it tear-droppingly emotional, but is also one that resonates with everyone, no matter how old you are. It's full of wonder and excitement. How has no one ever thought of this idea. If it was possible, I would give this a 420/69. Another incredible thing about this film are the characters. It has a hero you can sympathize for, a villian who is despicable, and characters with great backstories. Perfect to say the least.

Axel in Harlem is a delightful animated short film. Not only is the quality of animation superb, but the storytelling puts the likes of Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino to shame. The character arcs never failed to keep me both extremely interested and constantly on the edge of my seat throughout, whilst managing to deliver a satisfying payoff for each individual character. It may potentially be the greatest piece of media I have had the pleasure of laying my eyes on, it manages to keep the viewer engaged for the entire duration. Animan Studios really hit it out of the park with this one, how this hasn't been nominated for an emmy absolutely baffles me. This is truly one of the short films of all time. Bravo Animan.

The reviews are in and everyone knows that Axel in Harlem is the greatest of all time. Just because the Oscars ignored it doesn't mean you should, no film has ever reached the heights that Animan's latest masterpiece does. It's rare nowadays that you'll find a film made out of passion and not greed but Axel in Harlem absolutely does. No movie even comes close, and the soundtrack from the infinitely talented Roddy Rich. Not only is the music stunning, the cinematography was just stunning, the animation was on tier, if not better than any Pixar or DreamWorks movie I've ever watched. Not only is this movie absolutely stunning it was a visual experience you can only experience once in a lifetime!
