Reads one of the review titles...well...that seems obvious...the under sixteen year old, red bull crowd...the whiners. It was hard to believe that it was, review after review, negative...most ratings under 5.
Yes. It's thirty minutes long. As if quantity has anything to do with quality?
It seems as if a lot of the young reviewers are only here to show us how clever they think THEY are...and little to do with what's actually happening in the program...'something to clip your toenails to'(congratulations. You used the correct 'your'. A foot up from many reviewers). 'the trend of beautiful but stupid continues'...i guess i'm the stupid one for not understanding what that's supposed to imply.
But...at first i wasn't sure i was going to enjoy this show...there's been many star wars 'offshoots' i've tried to watch but...they just weren't for me... but THIS show feels the most to me like the original movies...which had some of the same pacing as this episode...really, as all of the series so far...and yes. Some of it IS repetitive...it IS, though, an extension of the original story. So how one might think it should be different from 'the basics' is beyond me...it's not 'something else'. It's, as i said, an extension of star wars...and it's doing pretty well doing that in a LOT of ways in this series... the whiners don't bother me all that much...they're hard to take seriously. I've come to expect it since anyone of any age can write a review...i don't expect them to be able to get beyond their own personal, teenage frustrations to give an objective review.

This isn't animation and if you're only giving us 8 episodes, each should be 1 hour in length! Space battles are nice, but there's not much substance there.
The start of the episode was slow, but picked up a little and gave us more details and story building.
There could have been a bit more detail provided outside the space battle. That time was wasted on what we have already seen in Star Wars for many years.
The story was very thin however and stretched out a bit, and could have given us more substance and less fluff. More story driven scenes that promote the character development and less lasers.
The ending is abrupt and felt awkward.

NOTE: This is a combined review from a 55 yr old dad and his 14 yr old daughter:
I won't say this is a terrible show, but there are just so many flaws that are increasingly difficult to look past. I appreciate the love for Ashoka, as she is a great character who many love (myself included)...there's just something off about it.
Rosario Dawson resembles the character, but brings no life or personality to her portrayal. There are so many established traits for this character that are missing, and "age" is a sufficient explanation for this lifelessness. Adding to the list if key problems with insufficient excuses, the top lekku (head tails) are absurdly flat and short. Worse, the headband and lekku look like plastic.
Sabine is the best cast character on the show thus far. However, she doesn't need to be a Jedi just because she's cool. Mandolorians are extremely cool in their own right, and she doesn't need to be a wannabe Jedi. Despite good casting, Sabine doesn't have the best writing. Too many of her lines have been pointless, weird, and flat out cringey.
The worst offense this show offers is Hera. Despite my best efforts, I keep coming back to the fact that she isn't Hera. There is little to no physical resemblance between actress and character, and her personality doesn't begin to match the bold, brave, liveliness of Hera. Characters can change over time , particularly after having a child and Kanan's tragic death, but a key character should still have a personality.
Character and casting issues aside, I am reluctantly coming around to the common consensus that this show is dull, boring, and a cash grab. I would love to see more of the Ashoka we saw in s8 of clone wars, Rebels, or the Ahsoka novel by E. K. Johnston which I highly recommend. I remain hopeful that Disney's Ashoka will pull out of it's current dive.

The episode firstly is good, there is some good content in here but I fear we have hit the usual Disney formula after the first 2 episodes finally strayed from it.
30 minutes is to short, why not make 5 hour long episodes that cut the filler and dragged out scenes and put together all the good stuff I'll never know.
We got in this episode IN MY OPINION, a chase scene that was too long, and a training scene that was also very slow, other than that not much push forward, I'm not asking for bang bang action every 2 seconds but a story with stakes is what's needed, there are no intense emotions with this show so far, 7/10.

While it may have been a short episode, #Ahsoka continues to be a fascinating and exciting journey. Delivering with great action, good character progression and a promising storyline.
I love the space combat we got and that we got to see glimpses of Ahsoka's immature and impulsive side which will never fully go away no matter how much she has matured.
This is incredibly promising television for fans of Rebels and Star Wars in general, with some very rewarding scenes.
The best thing about this episode for me is that it continues to provide meaningful scenes for Sabine who I felt in Rebels was the least developed character. Whether it's regarding Ezra, her training, her past or her feelings it has managed to deliver every time.
Look forward to the next episode!
