I truly thought this episode was fantastic. It felt like the old Rick and Morty we all love. It had great themes and scenes that cause you to think deep.
I didn't really enjoy last season at all. I think they finally created an awesome episode of television.
The voices sounded a little bit better.
The did a great spin of the matrix and it felt like early season of the show.
Hopefully they'll have a few others on this level this season but this could be a one off... fingers crossed.
With that all being said, I don't think the show will ever be the same but this was a step in the right direction for sure.

I don't have access to Matrix technology, but I can now just play this episode on repeat.
Does that make me a bad parent?
Yes.
But God damn it, it's my damn charger.
So this episode was a fine return for Rick and Morty, and I have hope for a very solid season. Rick and Morty isn't a guaranteed hit week in and week out anymore, but it is still one of the best shows on TV and one of the best shows ever.
I'm in this for the long haul, because dammit, the writers built a whole episode about not returning a phone charger.
Morty and Summer will never age, so it is nice to see the adult versions of them occasionally.

A shockingly good follow up to the Fear Hole episode, where the characters again are forced to live in alternate realities that change them and expose uncomfortable truths about growing up. This is probably what Rick and Morty does best - a stupid concept about a fake reality taken to a terrifying extreme. It's a Black Mirror-esque horror used as a metaphor for a coming of age story where being forced to live in alternative realities allows the sitcom dynamic and interpersonal relationships to be explored in new ways. I'm glad they finally touched on how the characters would be affected from constantly living in new realities, adding many years of life onto their actual age. Morty with Roy and the episode where he was trapped in a game simulation feels like it should have given him a new outlook on life instead of being used as a throwaway bit, and I'm glad that was finally explored here. Just a hilarious episode too - the animation style looks a lot more fluid too, which leads to some weird character models but honestly it feels more alive and I prefer it a lot.
An intelligent episode as a premiere deserves, very well constructed and with beautiful lessons, as it should be
the pace of this first episode was ideal for a story of present and past, difficult and complex even for such a complete animation, the construction of those involved was good, their environments were used well
to be perfect, the episode should have Jerry involved in some context, especially with Summer, showing an improvement or worsening in his role as a father, this creates expectations in the next episodes, but a premiere could have the presence of the entire family
hope this spirit continues in the next episodes.

The concept of a matrix for a punishment of Rick it's something really Rick... And the way about shows how Morty and summer are capable of solving a situation that Rick does for teach 'em a lesson it's something for make Highlights, 'cause too many times it happens but the way that it pass in this is brilliant, too funny and honestly I felt it personal at the end. And obviously the perfect comedy breakout of end was simply perfect.
It shows how Morty could grow as person and really have problems we all know it, by the way it's really understable the way how he finish at that situations, I dunno if some of writers wanna show something Through Morty but it makes me see many things about traumas and how it's justified but at same time could do something else like destroy everything (I still like that, 'cause you know... It's Morty)

- TriviaTodas las entradas contienen spoilers
- ErroresSomeone in The Matrix incorrectly says "matrixes" as the plural of the word "matrix". This is likely due to Morty programming it without knowing that the correct plural is "matrices".
Though less common, "matrixes" is also an acceptable plural form for "matrix".
