Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One

I was/have been a fan of multiverse stories before it became hip. Crisis on Two Earths was a pretty good animated movie with a much more straightforward story. Between the chunky animation style and the meandering story, this didn't work for me.

Five years after the Arrowverse tackled DC Comics' most iconic storyline, the DCAU takes on Crisis on Infinite Earths. Part One generously adapts the source material, but ends up as a surprise Flash film instead. With nearly the entire chapter spent following the Scarlet Speedster, the opportunity to explore the multiverse is barely grazed upon. Failing to deliver what's promised, Part One creates a lackluster experience. The voice acting is bearable and better than other DCAU projects, but the animation is drastically worse than the previous standard. DC Animated films have rarely been more than fine, and Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One is unfortunately not one of the few exceptions.

I don't know what happened with DC animation. They use to be the best part of DC. Some of the animated movies were way better than any of the live action DC/Marvel movies. The last few animation movies have been terrible. Everything from the design of the characters, dialog and story. Who ever was in charge of the old animation bring them back. For this being a crisis storyline it was terrible. The story was all over the place I know there 2 more parts coming but this was so hard to watch that idk if I will even watch the others. Do better DC you're going to lose the rest of your fan base smh.

I watched this the other wek and honestly its a slow burn and not really aimed for young kids although they can watch it.

This is a long movie hat they split into three parts and I think the CW did a better job within the Arrow verse but I have only seen the first part so cannot pass that much judgment. I have to watch the other part and then an really make a call on how good they start and how good they finish it all up.

In saying this I do recommend anyone that si a DC fan its a good little movie series to add to your collection.

The only thing i do not like about these types of series its more than one movie and you ahve to commit more time to get to the end and you hope for a satisfying ending.

I guess will wait to the end of part threee for a final thought on this DC movie series.

Crisis on Infinite Earths was always one of my favourite comics growing up and this is just an injustice to it. The flash is a vital character in the comics but so are several others such as supergirl, Luthor and pariah. This animated film though focuses the entirety on the flash and makes him the sole hero and everybody else is a backup character. The whole first half of the film is just a confused mess as you try to figure out what is happening. Finally the animation style is so lazy and bad that it almost looks like stop motion at some points with the voices not matching the characters. All in all a great disappointment for something Inwas really waiting for.
