I loved season 1. I loved it so much I watched it twice.
Season 2 was a mess and I vowed to not watch season 3 but I succumbed.
The season 3 premiere is thankfully a return to form and gives me hope for the rest of the season.
Without giving anything away, there is some nice subterfuge and intrigue at hand that will set up the rest of the season nicely.
So far the supporting characters are interesting without being overbearing like the season 2 sidekicks. Especially interesting is the female DEA agent. She seems like a strong character that might develop nicely over the course of the season.
I'm tentatively giving a big thumbs up to the new season and I'm hoping I don't get disappointed.

I loved season 1, it was a great start to the TV franchise and Alan Ritchson nailed Reachers mannerisms and character right down to his fighting style. Season 2 was good, but I didn't like the way they sidelined the main man. However, I've just blitzed the first 3 episodes of Season 3 and I am seriously impressed! Plenty of action, a bit of humour and what looks to be a good plot. Reacher is back in a big way, this time more like the books where he is mainly relying on himself although I like Duffey and her team as well. I think we are in for a treat this season. Can't wait for more, I wish they had released the whole thing!
Just finished the first episode and it's definitely an improvement over season 2 but this new character " susan " is annoying and irritating.
It seems like the writers made her a girl-boss type character which she isn't in the novels And if they stick to that in the upcoming episodes then ouch.
I genuinely have nothing against the actress or the fact that she's a girl but these writers man.. they always fail to write a good female character.. always.
If u want a good example of how to write a good female character.. Kim Wexler.
Anyway so far this is a good start to the season and I'm excited for the next episodes.

I don't know where she got her accent from but it's awful and distracting. She's also just a horrible actress, "I'm not just a pretty face" was a tough watch. Hopefully she doesn't last long in this season because the accent makes her borderline unwatchable. Every word she says is mangled and doesn't sound remotely like a New England accent. They need to get someone who can actually speak in a New England accent and her comment on Tom Brady being a traitor is completely inconsistent with the sentiment of the region. Don't get some British chick with no connection to New England to give potentially one of the worst accents I've ever heard. I rarely give reviews and didn't rate it that poorly because the rest of the episode is fine, but her performance is abhorrent and she must be stopped.
The first episode of Reacher series three dashes out of the gate with a bang.
Reacher goes to a record store to sell vinyls no one wants to buy. He ends up saving nerdy Richard Beck from getting kidnapped. Reacher even ends up shooting a cop dead.
His father Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall) is in the oriental rug business but he has enhanced security. This includes a hostile man mountain Paulie, who takes an immediate dislike to Reacher.
By now the viewers know Reacher has the knack for finding trouble. Here there is a lot more to the opening scenes.
The pace slackens a little for the exposition but this looks like to be an exciting instalment.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe Ethel Merman disco album really does exist. In fact, the vinyl version is highly sought by collectors.
- ErroresIn the opening scene when Reacher says that "Surfin' Safari" by the Beach Boys was a rip-off of Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen," it was actually "Surfin' USA" that ripped off that Chuck Berry song. "Surfin' USA" was originally credited solely to Brian Wilson, but Chuck Berry's name was subsequently added as one of the songwriters.
