Solo Leveling is a captivating manhwa that seamlessly blends action, fantasy, and character development. The story follows Sung Jin-Woo, the weakest of rank E hunters, who undergoes a mesmerizing transformation into an
overpowering S-rank. The intricate plot unfolds with meticulous pacing, keeping readers hooked with unexpected twists and intense battles. The artwork is nothing short of spectacular, vividly portraying dynamic fight sequences and visually stunning landscapes. The protagonist's evolution is accompanied by well-crafted supporting characters, each contributing to the narrative's depth. So ever manhwa reader knows that this anime is gonna be huge.. maybe it's gonna compete with animes like demon slayer and chainsaw man maybe surpass them i hope.
Every bit of the content of this episode, for me should've been in the last episode. Why? Because I couldn't wait a week for these incredible moments.
This episode is probably what will make you stick in solo levelling or quit it entirely. It defines Sung Jinwoo as a character and shows us the ideals of the show - the idea that all things fall to power unparalleled. The symbolism in this episode is something which really shouldn't be brushed on; every moment of this episode has some significance in a way, and I think actually is far more intelligent than we give credit for.
I know Solo Levelling is a similar plot to every single generic "I'm a hunter's guild max level OP skill cheat hacker couldnt beat the tutorial item spamming potion drinking newbie rookie pro player advanced player level grinding hardcore gamer dude" manwha. So many shows struggle to design a character different from Sung Jinwoo. Why is this the show that got serialised into a physical graphic novel and anime, despite living in such a common and generally low quality subgenre of webcomics? This episode tells you - it is simply a better story than the majority of "noob gone pro" manwha and actually has some interesting ideas and started the genre in Korean webcomics entirely. This show is the pinnacle of the genre and this episode just proved how good it was.
Credit where credit is due, as always - the voice actors really needed to shift in this episode, and they absolutely did. The animation is where I expect for the show, and I was pleased to learn the show is a 24-ep adaptation. Any fears I had from the last episode have been completely put aside - I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a second episode of a show this much.
10/10 - deserved of higher praise and certainly better than most of the episodes of similar fantasy anime.

Now I truly truly wish that the first three episodes were a one hour episode cause some people including me didn't like the first one and unfortunately not so many people gave it a chance but boy oh boy they are missing out!
The drawing, the movement of the characters and the colors are something else! Amazing and of a kind!
The smile, that goofy scary smile is the whole reason I watched this anime and put it in my watch list a year ago, and finally we get to see its meaning.
I fell in love with the outro it made me feel like im in a cinema watching a real life movie unlike the intro it was a bit poor and i wish they change it!

The first episode was a good introduction! But this episode.. was so much better in every way!
This was intense and thrilling from beginning to end! Great action, bloody scenes and an ending that really has me hooked, looking very much forward to the next episode! A great and fun premise that really put me on edge!
The main character Sung, also finally gets to shine, as he atempts to take control over the situation so that they all survive! Overall he is very interesting and sticks out! He may not be strong.. but instead smart and brave! He does not fall into despair but keeps his cool
The animation is top notch as well! Not much to critisize! This show just looks really good and vibrant!
The OP is so addictive and really got me hyped and gave me chills!
This show is already solid in its second episode! If this level of quality continues this could turn out very well and become something special!

Oh man. Okay, I didn't review Episode 1, mainly because it felt 'unfinished.' I thought, 'Okay, this is coming from me who's read the manhwa.' The animation was stellar, but the episode left a lot to be desired.
However, this episode is where the anime really excels. It was beautiful, haunting, and emotional. (And, just to fanboy here, A-1 Pictures really did a fantastic job encapsulating the sheer amount of fear and dread when the 'god' smiled at our protagonists. Utterly irrelevant, but I just had to.)
Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius as always. The soundtrack, particularly at the end of the episode at the altar, elevates the scene tremendously, making it all the more tragic.
The first episode had me very skeptical, but now we're cooking with gas. Cannot wait for next week's episode.
