This episode is a testament to how a show can evolve and outdo itself. The actors delivered truly remarkable performances, bringing depth and emotion to every scene. The direction was spot-on, with every moment feeling meticulously crafted to enhance the story.
One of the standout aspects was the stunning visuals - a significant upgrade from the previous season. The attention to detail and the immersive atmosphere added a new layer of sophistication to the episode. It's clear that a lot of thought went into every frame.
Overall, this episode sets a high bar for the rest of the season. If this is a glimpse of what's to come, fans are in for an incredible ride!

Episode was really good throughout most of it. Had a slight ominous feeling throughout and you know a twist of some sort is coming. Performances were very good from the main 2 cast members too, and the episode is shot well. The story felt very inspired by M3G4N and Ex Machina at times, and I don't think that's a bad thing.
But then you get to the last about 3 minutes and the whole episode is flushed down the toilet. Made no sense at all. Absolute garbage ending that made me ask myself, "What was even the point?!"
I probably would have given this episode a 7/10 or higher if they stuck the landing.

This episode kept me guessing the entire time. I'm usually pretty good at predicting where shows are headed, and I thought I had it all figured out. So, I settled in, ready to watch the story unfold as I expected.
To my surprise-and to my delight-I was completely wrong. The ending had a comical touch that I didn't see coming, making the entire experience even more entertaining.
This might actually be the only episode in the series that made me chuckle, which is a rare feat for American Horror Stories. The mix of suspense and humour worked so well.
Although, It didn't give me the normal chills I get from AHS.
I still thoroughly enjoyed this episode.

If not for the last 3 minutes of this episode, it could have easily been an 8/10, but no, AH-Stories is dead-set on their cardboard-eating logic, content to completely ruin what they've set up by trying to have a shocker ending.
There was so much potential for the episode 'Clone.' So many things could have been done differently, and by "different" I mean quality. This episode was engaging, interesting, then it ruined itself with the "twist" ending.
Many are drawing comparisons to M3GAN, which is fair. It should also be compared to the "Black Mirror" episode 'Be Right Back,' which is 'Clone,' but better.
Immensely disappointing, but that's the standard AH-Stories has been aiming for since its inception. Likewise AHS should be put on trial for their obsessive reliance on the witches storyline, but I digress.
"Clone" gets a 3, only because the first 95% of the episode was well done, characters had depth, the story was engaging. 0/10 scary. To reiterate: watches more like a "Black Mirror" episode, and disappoints just like any other American Horror Stories episode. Writers Ned Martel & Charlie Carver should be ashamed to cash their residuals for this. It seems like whenever AH-Stories is doing a "tech" episode ("The Naughty List," "Aura," "Bestie"), they pass the effort to Max Winkler to direct, which I'll now consider another red flag for the franchise.

The plot was vaguely creepy, and quite interesting as an idea, but didn't go anywhere. I wasn't expecting any jump scares, but it's like they forgot the assignment.
I only just watched M3GAN, and episode felt very much like the writer had just watched M3GAN too. It's the same basic principle: learning AI learns to respond more like a human - everyone's really shocked when they do the bad things humans do. And none of it was surprising or scary, we all know AIs go dark, we all saw Terminator, and it's been redone some many times since, it's what we expect. All set round characters it's hard to like, let alone care about, so meh might have been a bit too good.
