Bulletproof

I literally quit Hacks after season 1 because I found it average. Months after Hacks released its third season, I decided to give it another try and was shocked by how much they had increased the quality, the drama, and the comedy. I loved the second season, and even the third season didn't disappoint. It's super fun when a comedy show is binge-worthy and has so much engaging content.

Coming to this episode, despite the high ratings, I didn't find the ending believable. The problem was that what happened didn't feel realistic; it seemed more like a dramatic sequence designed to ensure the network would renew the show. When Ava found out about the lie, the story became interesting, and that scene was shocking, but what happened afterward didn't seem right or believable. It could have been presented in a much better way. Although what happened in the end will stick in my mind for a very long time, I have seen this scene on repeat, and it will make season 4 an interesting watch. But I hope it stays consistent. They shouldn't make everything happy and good just after a few episodes. I love the cast, especially Hannah, and hope to see her in other shows and movies. Overall, it's one of the best comedy shows streaming right now and a must-watch.

Brilliant! I don't think I've ever watched such an amazing show! From the script to the actors. Hanna is such an amazing actress that she keeps surprising me, her last scene with Debroha was insane she played it so well so much emotions the way her facial expressions changed in reaction to Debroh was just astonishing. Give her an Emmy an Oscar already, although I really wanted debroh to come back to her apologizing but I understand this is not that type of a show and they really wanted a season 4, so no complains here. I'm really looking forward to next season and how their relationship will evolve. Pat on the back for everyone involved in creating this show.

After a change of streaming location, from Amazon to Sky, the third season of "Hacks" finally lands in the UK, leaving us only a couple of months to get through it ahead of the fourth season's imminent landing. Fortunately, as it's again brilliant, I had no issues getting through it quickly.

Having gone their separate ways again, Ava (Hannah Einbinder) has found success writing for a topical interview show but the abrupt nature of the end of her time with Deborah (Jean Smart) continues to be a source of upset to her. Deborah herself continues the success from her special but finds that the people in her life have become sycophantic. The pair meet unexpectedly at a festival and slowly rekindle their relationship and when Deborah wants to try to take over a tonight show style slot, that is becoming available, she asks Ava to rejoin her team.

Similarly to what I wrote in my review of the second season, "Hacks" doesn't need a big overhaul, so it doesn't do one. They relatively quickly find a way to reconnect the two leads and deal with the fallout from what's happened. From there it's the new goal of Deborah finally getting the talk show she was denied all those years ago. There is a reckoning with the jokes of Deborah's past that are now considered cancellable. There's another excellent episode centred around Kaitlin playing Deborah's daughter DJ.

I was turned around on Megan Stalter's Kayla in season two, so I'm glad to see that she and Jimmy continue to have a role in the show and it's not just one in service of our two leads anymore.

No spoilers but the series end with a real change in the dynamics of the central relationship, it'll be very interesting to see how that plays out in the fourth season of the show. Not long to wait now.

This season finale was brilliant. I admit the first two seasons were intriguing enough to string me along, but I didn't really miss the show during its hiatus. But season 3 was LIT.

Each episode was unique and not a carbon copy of the previous, you saw real growth with both characters and I did NOT see the season finale coming.

But the cameos to B stories, to random events all were just fantastic. It felt like it was more in tune and leaning into the strengths of the show. Also, the realism of working in entertainment being displayed was comforting, especially considering the current climate.

I was snapping my fingers at the end and cannot wait for Season 4. I CANNOT WAIT.

Everything that happened in this episode was fire!!! This series is soooo good and it's so simple to be done that I'm so happy that they've been renewing seasons! I mean, Jean Smart is amazing, and Hannah too. The whole cast is great. Really love the series and hope it keeps getting renewed.

I never though that Ava would say that at the end of the episode, that was pure shock. Also love the relationship between her managers and how they deal with Hollywood people, by the underlines, which is how things work and get done. I really have no complaints about that show and it's all about laughing the entire time lol which is rare!
