Amanda Knox: una historia retorcida

This seried is slow, biased, boring and hard to stay focused on because it is 80% in Italian. Disappointed in this series as the story/events had the potential to make something really interesting and captivating - whereas this just falls flat.

Grace plays a convincing Amanda Knox yet still she comes across as very unlikeable and unsympathetic.

I have found the first 2 episodes really engrossing. Sure, some of the police characters are annoying, but I suspect they really behaved like they are being portrayed based on other true crime scenarios I have watched based overseas. I hope the rest will capture my attention in the same way. The actress portraying Amanda looks strikingly like her and I certainly find her believable as Amanda.

I can't understand why this particular series starts with a scene that feels literally stolen from Amélie, from the perspective of things being interconnected in a narrative. Later, the series felt disappointing to me, the lead actress's performance was not at all convincing, and it was incredibly boring. You could tell it wasn't a realistic depiction of things. However, I found the cinematography and the use of light and color hues visually appealing, the series itself was disappointing.

So this is Amanda Knox's own version of events and as such is interesting for sure. She and her boyfriend don't to me come over as killers. But, I find it's raising more questions than answers. I mean, would you really wake your boyfriend up in the morning in HIS flat, and then leave him so you could go back to your flat and have a shower? Would you really, as a girl alone, find the front door open to your home, but carry on and take said shower without first checking the whole house for intruders? And would you really carry a mop from your house to his if you were not that keen on cleaning and he had a regular cleaner? I can't make sense of it, and this is only the first episode! As others have said, one day, hopefully, someone will do some careful research, and we may get closer to the facts. Still; worth a watch....

Show starts OK-ish, one-sided, if anything. I wanted something more nuanced, but so far we're basically getting a TV version of the 2016 Knox-PR documentary.

But even if it takes off with furter episodes, it will still get low ratings, because poor Americans have to actually read something. It always seems like a breakneck intellectual acrobatics for them.
