Fans love the vicarious thrill of a gangster movie - I was engaged growing up watching Edward G. And Cagney on the late show and of course Scorsese and Ritchie are the undisputed current leaders of the genre.
With Hardy as the centerpiece, this episode piles on, with the number of headaches he must handle growing exponentially. The level of violence continues to escalate, and an excellent car chase also stirs the level of excitement.
But the way Hardy glides through it all reminds me of my all-time hero Charles Bronson, who manages in so many films to provide the ultimate loner (often with Jill at his side, however) one can identify with, right or wrong. The series has introduced coppers out to take down the Harrigan clan, but so far they are hardly worthy adversaries for a formidable array of villains. One priceless scene features Helen Mirren's evil core masked by grandmotherly affection for the ne'er do well young Eddie -pure black humor. But it is Hardy who carries the show.

Annnnd.... the plot thickens! If the first episode of the season offered us a solid start, this one confirms Mobland will be one of the greatest shows this year. With Guy Ritchie's genius, a witty writing and actors that are giving increddible performances, we can only expect the show to get better and better, with action scenes going crescendo, maybe ? Definitely hope so, it's a delight seeing Tom Hardy portraying a calm, collected Harry Da Souza, yet violent and threatening. Highly recommend this one lads! I'm hooked like I've rarely been before. Can't wait for next week's one, I know this will be a hit again! + the music is INSANE!!
After episode 2 were left wanting more.
Talks of visions and bullet holes keeps this drama alive with each and every episode Acting is getting better and characters more believable as time goes on.
Harry certainly is becoming the main glue between all the villains in this show.
Story lines are developing across multiple levels with each character. Story is becoming deeper and more complex.
Guy Ritchie is proving to be an excellent director and his previous certainly has big influences on this great show.
Really tempted to leave it till all Episodes are complete so I can have a massive binge sesh.
Roll on next week.

Episode 2 continues the brilliance of last week's debut. I wish this series was on Netflix so I could binge watch it.
It's the best series to come along in a great while. The writing is superb. The direction taut. The editing is razor sharp. The storylines are entertaining and multi-varied. The location shoots are terrific.
Tom Hardy shines (but when does he not?).
Pierce Brosnan is better than he's been in ages, perhaps ever! Helen Mirren is a right scary old broad!
There is wonderful intrigue in that we're not quite sure whose side everyone is on. Treachery is afoot.
Not since The Sopranos have I been this excited about a new series!

Greetings from Lithuania.
I enjoyed first two episodes of "Mobland" despite the fact that i'm burned out from all tv series - i do not watch them just to save time as we are living in a golden age of TV and you literally need a separate life to watch them all. I watched "Mobland" just to spare some time and wasn't disappointed - so many great actors, Guy Richey in the directing seat and tale about mob in today's London. Its entertainment, solidly writen, tries to be Sopranos and many thing at the same time yet it works. There isn't anything new or original here, but what it does it does good.

- ErroresThe brown autumnal leaves are on the trees in the London scenes but the trees are winter bare in the shots set in The Cotswolds.

Richie Stevenson: Why don't you like me?
Harry Da Souza: Sorry?
Richie Stevenson: You said the other day that you didn't like me. I just wonder why.
Harry Da Souza: The words are many and the list is endless so I don't want to waste your time.
