If you're walking into Jaat expecting nuance, logic, or depth-turn around. But if you're here for sheer massy entertainment, over-the-top action, punchy dialogues, and Sunny Deol in full "dhai-kilo-ka-haath" mode, then fasten your seatbelts-this ride is for you. This is a one-time watch, especially for fans of Sunny Deol and those who revel in old-school mass masala cinema. Thaman S's background score is one of the film's biggest strengths-pumping energy into every major scene. The soundtrack, however, is forgettable and doesn't linger beyond the film.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, who makes his Hindi debut after delivering several blockbusters in Telugu cinema, Jaat stays true to the formula that's earned him a loyal following down South: action, attitude, and adrenaline. His focused entirely on mass appeal. The story kicks off with great momentum. The first half is crackling with energy especially the "Sorry bol" sequence, which is pure whistle material. The screenplay takes a nosedive in the second half. There's a lull in the storytelling, and just when hope starts to fade, enter the Mysterious Hero. The climax is nothing short of a one-man army showdown-hundreds of bad guys, slow-motion stunts, and the hero walking out of explosions unscathed.
Sunny Deol is in his element here. With a commanding screen presence and that unmistakable thunder in his voice, he delivers a high-voltage performance that carries the film, especially when the screenplay falters. Randeep Hooda brings gravitas to the villainous role and stands tall opposite Sunny Deol. Viineet Kumar Singh slipping effortlessly into his role, he adds value without stealing focus. Regina Cassandra got a meaty role, and she did justice to that. Saiyami Kher and Jagapathi Babu are underutilised.

Jaat (2025) is a thunderous return to old-school action cinema, powered by none other than Sunny Deol in one of his most intense roles to date. Set in a lawless village where violence replaces justice, the story follows a lone warrior who doesn't speak much-but when he moves, chaos follows. The film explodes with raw energy, gripping fight sequences, and a relentless pace. Director Jagdeep Sidhu delivers a gripping narrative filled with emotional depth and mass appeal. The climax is an absolute knockout, with a twist that genuinely takes you by surprise. Jaat is more than just an action film-it's a statement. Highly recommended for fans of high-octane cinema.
Good to watch once. I liked it personally and much much better than Sikandar movie. Sunny Sir is back with strong and powerful 2.5 killo ka hath.
Story line: 3/5 Dialogue: 3.5/5 Entertainment: 4/5
Storyline is average but the Sunny sir appearance and Randip Hooda acting killed it. Awesome performance by all the actors. First half mostly comedy and serious both and second half is what you don't want to miss at all. One reminds of the Sunny's 90's movies and keep you engaged all the time.
Coming to Villain - one of Randip's best movie and performances. It's the one thing keep you engaged till end. Climax could be much better.

Jaat is a old style mass entertainer filled with one liners, flying action and 🔥 performance delivered by Sunny Deol and villain Randeep Hooda who also shined in his evil and unhinged performance.. After many bad Bollywood films since last few months this one turned out to be one of better.. If you are a big fan of sunny paaji and enjoyed his action films from 90s then this one will also provide you a great entertainment. There are many one epic liners and one man army action scenes in which hero destroys everything coming in his way and this is enough to keep audience entertained, accompanied by a great BGM and loud and noisy sound effects set in backdrop of evil lord ruling the land and hero comes to save innocent from his reign.. Story is straightforward there are no shocking twists and turns but it keeps audience engaged for nearly 2 and half hours with many dramatic scenes there are many desi style fight scenes from beginning to end which are whistle worthy if you love mass masala films.. Overall Jaat is an decent watch to catch on big screen only for just seeing Sunny Deol in his old action avatar...
Acting : 5/5 Sunny, Randeep, Vineet Kumar, Siami Kher, Regina Cassandra all are excellent.
Story : 2.5/5 You already know if you saw trailer :-) Direction : 4/5 Music : 3/5 BGM : 4/5 Sunny Deol? 5/5
Movie drags a little in 2nd half, could have been shorter.
Sunny Deol lifts the energy every time he's on frame. Randeep Hooda looks evil, Vineet Kumar has fun. For both Randeep and Vineet the roles would have been so easy.
Pre interval face off, and climax action are great.
90's style action movie for drama, action, dialog baazi fans. Sunny Deol steals the show.
Enjoyed very much!
Note: Too violent - Beheadings, cutting fingers, women, children in danger scenes are common.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe persona played by Sunny Deol turns out to be Brig. Baldev Pratap Singh. It's possible that this persona is the same one as seen in Maa Tujhe Salaam, where he played Major Pratap Singh.
- Versiones alternativasFollowing the film's release, a scene showing the villain imitating Jesus Christ inside a church drew sharp criticism from members of the Christian community who found it offensive and disrespectful to their religious sentiments. The makers responded swiftly by removing the controversial scene.
