La banda perfecta

I LOVE this concept. It's about the singers. They choose each other and the there's so much anticipation built up for the band members to finally see each other while they are singing for the first time together!

The singers either want to be in a boy band or girl band or mixed. One girl band singer in Episode 1 decides she's the boss of the band she's building. They ask leading questions to try figure out if the others girls are hot or not. Then there are bands that are diverse and accepting. It's a real feel-good show with absolutely increadible singers. I love Nicole Scherzinger as a mentor .

Love this show! It's such an interesting concept and everyone has great voices. Only thing, is I'm not sure the title necessarily fits. Sure it's for a boy/girl band or mixed, but the term band I think has led people to think it would include musicians. That would also be sick to incorporate.

I'm excited for future contestants and judges. I think this first season will hit because of Liam's involvement (RIP), but I'm curious how it'll go forward. Judges will need to be top tier. Maybe get other 1D members, or maybe a Jonas brother?? Either way it could be so cool. Again I'll emphasize on the new season to add musicians. I think it could add a lot of diversity.

Sad to see a show choose a band for looks. Szn4 was a better group with vocals and stage presence. 3quency vocals were not there most the time, and they had to pull out a lot of background distractions to attract the audience. I won't watch season 2, because I like to see shows judge based on talent, not looks.

I wanted to love it. I'm one of those who actually likes this kind of thing and enjoy seeing people succeed. This could have been a really good variation on a theme of wannabe singers making good. But it just isn't. It misses. Put simply it's so fake...so extraordinarily and obviously faked. A lot of the singers involved are actually good. Many are probably as good if not better than the usual folks that audition for telly singing competitions. But the format and story arcs of the contestants are just bad and telegraphed from the beginning ...we have the snooty all singing, all dancing, I'm better than everyone one who vacillates between nice and nasty. There's a Harry Styles lookalike. The love story. The one who lets the side down and has to go. The one who won't dance. The 'band' who from the beginning are simply brilliant and the 'band' who sadly are not. The troubled band. The band you can't remember. And more. All the Instagram tropes are there. There's the established pop stars who look oddly somehow out of place and are trying just a bit too hard to be part of all this youth. And if I hear or see any more screaming or fake excitement jumping up and down .argh...it's too much and of course they all love each other and swear life long fealty on sight. I digress.

I think I know who should win but fear they won't and I will watch to the end just to see how the producers have decided to placate the pop charts. It is a fair rehash of a format that's familiar and it has been done before but I suspect Simon Cowell did it better. Enjoy ...

This show feels like we are watching genuine people build the band of their dreams. It makes me want to see them stick together after this. What's so fascinating is how people who are only able to hear each other happen to form the perfect like minded band. As the audience, we can see them and know they would be perfect together. I would die on the spot of if I knew Nicole was directing me.

The only thing I did not like was spending three slow episodes watching people sing and chat, knowing the finale is coming up fast. I would rather spend time seeing these bands work together and perform more. All in all, I am invested and I don't usually watch singing shows.
