The car seen driving into the alley in the cold open is an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. At the crime scene Morgan correctly identifies it, referring to it informally as an Olds Cutlass. When Morgan, the Lieutenant, and Karadec examine the car in the impound lot, Karadec calls the car an '81 Regal, which is Buick's equivalent coupe model to the Cutlass Supreme.
When Morgan declared the killer must have hidden in the trunk of the car, she and the team immediately head to the police garage. Upon popping the trunk open Morgan physically climbs inside. Even if CSI had already inspected the vehicle, Morgan would have contaminated and compromised any evidence not previously found in the trunk. No detectives would stand by and let this happen.
Morgan misstates the Opposition Effect, saying it occurs when an object is illuminated by a light source 90º from it. Actually, it's when the light source is 180º away. In terms of the Moon, this is why a full Moon is more than twice as bright as a half Moon.
The mistake is compounded by the fact that in the mental reconstruction of the scene, the Moon is shown as gibbous (more than half-full, but not full). The Opposition Effect would occur at the full Moon.

In the final shot, the detective, after revealing diapers were found in the trunk of her missing boyfriend's car, misuses the expression "which begs the question". She should have said, "which raises the question". The detective's misuse of that term would have caused someone like Morgan, who should be familiar with logical fallacy, to be unable to resist immediately correcting the detective.
After Detective Karadec phones Roland to warn him his life is in danger, but Roland can't hear him over the loud music, Karadec could have texted the warning to him.
