One of Us

High Potential, a popular TV series, continues to raise the stakes with each episode, with "One of Us" being a thrilling and almost-killing roller coaster ride. The central theme of the series is family, which has been the driving force behind Morgan and almost every case the cops have handled since Miss Smarty Pants started. The midseason finale puts what matters most to Morgan on the line, with a captor on her way to motherhood herself. The case in High Potential Season 1 Episode 7 was a mixed bag, with the justice system not being foolproof and the wrong man being convicted. Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) and Karadec worked on the tapping dancing mechanics case in Season 1 Episode 2, but no one struggled more in this episode. Morgan endured nonstop stress with her daughter trapped in the precinct, but it was expected that she would save the day. Brooke, who might still be in danger, was also in danger. Morgan was sizzling with "Mama Bear" energy when she told Brooke that she had put Morgan's daughter in danger and that Brooke should be glad Morgan won't be on the jury that will try her. Morgan, a character in High Potential, is a talented and passionate individual who saves the day without taking a bullet. However, her potential suitor, Tom, is not on the "Bullet-Catcher" bingo card. Melon, a manic character, is a significant character in the show, but his actions resulted in a disastrous outcome. Morgan's ability to remain cool, calm, and collected is evident in her relationship with her tall drink of water partner, Karadec. Karadec, a manic figure, is known for his emotional reactions and attempts to keep his cool during conversations with Ava and Morgan about their "Yes Day." However, when shots are fired, Karadec goes into full protector mode, reminiscent of Morgan's frantic nature in High Potential Season 1 Episode 4. Morgan and Karadec complement each other well, with Karadec's analytical approach complementing Morgan's open-minded and creative perspective. They respect and admire each other, and there is no cliched romance between two partners of the opposite sex. The story highlights the importance of a strong and supportive relationship between characters, even in the face of adversity. In conclusion, High Potential continues to raise the stakes with every episode, with "One of Us" being a thrilling and almost-killing roller coaster ride.

Worst episode. Unrealistic as hell, cheesy just doesn't say it. Soldiers do not talk to each other like they did in this episode, the dead guy is the only one who was doing what one Soldier would do for another. Get yourself a military advisor, branch specific, before you try to include any military references.

The Police side, however unlikely, is possible.

It's insulting when a writter or director is trying to sell something as real but they do a horrible job. There are thousands of service members who could have reviewed your script and helped create a more realistic scenario.

How could the creative team let this amazingly subpar script make it to the screen. Unbelievably inept story development with holes in the plot you could drive a police car through. The director did an amazing job in delivering a really good looking episode. Congratulations and deepest sympathies to the cast for delivering great performances with nothing to work with. I could go through a litany of inane spoiler plot points but that would be a waste of time. If there is a Razzie for the worst script of any show all season this one is the winner. This episode's rating is really high, but frankly it should be less than zero.

Really great episode! Truly getting into a good stride, please don't cancel!!! I can't wait for next week!!!! Morgan and Ava were fantastic with the hostage drama... still not sure about the janitor Tom as the romantic lead against Morgan. He is ok but the chemistry just isn't there. Obviously hoping for a Morgan and Karadec relationship plot for the future. Ludo (Taran Killam) seems quite useless as a side character, he seems to randomly pop in and out without any plot. I was hoping for more info on Ava's dad and his disappearance but this episode was great filler for the overall season plot.

Holy Poop! I had to stop this episode twice so far because the directing was so bad it was distracting to the story. Normally this show is well done and fun but as soon as I saw the first scene with the weird and totally unnecessary camera swirl, attempting to be "artsy", I knew this one was gonna be different. Unfortunately it only got worse from there. The angles and zooms combined with jerky camera movements were really bad and different enough from all the previous episodes that it became the focus and completely distracted me from the actual story. But the worst, and most sophomoric camera work, we're the quick short zooms and jerky movements, like they were letting a five year old work a giant video camera from the 1980's. There was no smoothness, it was abrupt and annoying, and the added weird pans and dips and excessive shaky-cam garbage made for a horrible experience trying to stay focused on the story amid all the ridiculous camera work and directing. It eventually got so frustrating I had to rewind and try to ignore the obnoxious camera moves and offensive directing so I could try to pay attention to the story. If I didn't know any better I would think they handed a camera to a pretentious 8 year old and his equally pretentious buddy, who thought they were creating some avant-garde art film. This was the most difficult episode to watch, and made me so frustrated that I stopped the show to write how insanely appalling episode 7 is and seriously hope none of the rest of the episodes are directed by the same director and possibly some inexperienced cameramen. Just The Worst!!
