Happy Birthday Final

The mini marathon of the first three episodes left us wanting more.

Mark and the others are becoming "our friends," and we're starting to love these characters, so human, so real.

Jensen has literally become Mark; his acting is so intense that we almost forget he's not a Los Angeles detective specializing in robberies and homicides.

As always, he manages to convey every emotion so powerfully and intensely that words are almost superfluous. Mark is incredibly determined, efficient in his work, intelligent and sarcastic, charming and mysterious.

He's a good leader for the team and has more experience than the others working on a task force.

We learn more about him with each episode and will love him more every week.

Countdown Ep 3 keeps the pedal to the metal, but it's starting to feel a bit familiar.

Jensen Ackles' rogue cop Mark Meachum is still the star, oozing charisma as the task force digs into the conspiracy behind that Homeland Security killing. New clues hint at a shadowy network, which is properly intriguing.

The action's top-notch:a gritty warehouse shootout and a cracking car chase deliver the goods with slick visuals. Jessica Camacho's Amber Oliveras brings the heat, and Eric Dane's Nathan Blythe finally shows a smidge of spark.

But the script's stuck in a rut with cheesy one-liners and recycled cop-show tropes. The team's dynamic is fun but needs more meat to make you care. Meachum's hinted-at baggage and Oliveras' fire keep me curious, but the show's leaning too hard on predictable beats. It's a thrilling ride, just not a deep one.

Still in for the 13-episode haul, though! If you want fast-paced fun, Countdown delivers, but it's a bit shallow.

Wow, I just finished the first three episodes of countdown and they are absolutely amazing Jensen Ackles couldn't be any more perfect for this role. He was made to be Mark Meachum He is strong. He is sexy. He is everything good in this world. He's great at stunts, his comedy is unmatched. His timing is perfect and he has a great cast with him. I love watching the LA backdrops seeing so many different iconic spots in LA. This is a great show. Can't wait to watch the entire series and see what's to come. I've already cried a few different times so far Mark Meachum is gonna beat this. This is gonna be a good one.
