Season 1 has basically finished and they are artificially adding a few more episodes to make up 13? And it's even more far fetched and ridiculous with a convoluted timeline so you lose interest in the plot? Yes, that's definitely the case for me, I know there are only 2 episodes left now, but I am not remotely interested in the characters anymore, the story has lost it's potential and the characters their reason to tell their story. Commiserations to the writers, you've done a terrible job...
When the Volchek storyline ended in episode 10 just to start a new story, I was confused at first.
But watching epsiode 11, I think that was a great choice cause I'm liking this new storyline much better so far. The villain here seems to be more interesting and I love the pacing here, the way they're giving more space to characters instead of the investigations, and the twist in Mark and Amber's relationship (even if she pissed me off).

Countdown on Prime Video is a must-watch!
Jensen Ackles delivers one of his best performances yet as Mark Meachum-a character who's layered, flawed, and endlessly compelling. The show hooks you from the very first episode and doesn't let go, balancing suspense, action, and emotion in a way that keeps you guessing.
Ackles brings both intensity and vulnerability to Mark, making him the kind of character you can't look away from. The chemistry with the rest of the cast is electric, and the writing keeps building the tension episode after episode.
Countdown isn't just another thriller-it's smart, sharp, and full of heart. With Ackles at the center, it's easy to see why fans are already calling for a Season 2. Prime Video really has something special here.

Absolutely no reason for all the animal killing. Who the hell writes these shows!?! I'm done watching. They have to show one animal killing, which I hated. Then, a second animal. A poor, innocent animal. Once he pointed the gun at the dog, I turned it off and will not watch ever again. And will tell others not to watch.

I loved this episode, we have a new case with a new villain which is great.
This new case seems to be built and written better than Volchek case, also it looks much more interesting. I'm even liking the new villain better.
The writing of this show gets better and better at each episode, and in the last 2-3 episodes I loved how they're giving more focus to characters development which wasn't that much in earlier episodes.
