A documentary that is neither pressing nor probing.
I wouldn't qualify this as journalism, rather, more sensationalist entertainment, than anything.
It largely consists of news clips, social media footage, and interviews from people that were visibly and audibly present in clips from that day.
So, you get a particularly one sided perspective of things (ie from Trump supporters, themselves).
Thus, as you can imagine...there's not a whole lot of logical consistency going on.
Because it both spins a conspiracy about secret service agents; while simultaneously iterating pro-police rhetoric.
In short...THEY BLAME FEMALE SECRET SERVICE AGENTS...in what can only be described as disgustingly misogynistic commentary.
It mainly consists of a host interviewing regular people who have already been brainwashed by years of Fox News programming.
Though, there are a few "experts" and "analysts" who give their opinion on matters.
But their responses seem incredibly scripted.
Then, when it comes to the segment about the shooter...the host makes ZERO attempt to make any sort of deductions.
Instead, he goes in with the assumption that the young man was an isolated loner who suffered from depression because of covid...highlighting what reinforces that line, while completely ignoring anything and everything that might suggest the contrary.
So, as a Canadian, who does not vote, and supports no party...I can safely say that this program has little value, other than to reinforce whatever assumptions were already made by the people consuming it.
It has little else to offer.
And, therefore, has practically no value whatsoever.
Other than as mindless, sensationalist, entertainment, made largely for people who already support Trump.
