I don't doubt there's supernatural forces out there but this guy, doesn't have a spiritual guide named Becky. He's either schizophrenic or a con artist. The fact that she is a "school teacher" that's passed on is just BS. He clearly wants her to seem innocent so people won't be scared of her. It's so clear to me she's not real lol. Especially at the part he says "she's so sweet" or whatever, i literally rolled my eyes. I don't think this episode should've been featured. It's just more people for him to potentially scam. "I saw it on TV so it's definitely real!" Also, if it was real, he could find a way to prove it to people like the way he "did" with Steve!
My biggest gripe, which is probably the most solid fact I can express (and for you to consider whilst watching this episode)... If an entity such as Becky has appeared back from the dead to whisper psychic knowledge, gruesome suspicions etc whilst in creepy buildings with good ole Dom, then where are all the other entities at?? There have been estimated over 100 billion human deaths since the start of mankind, surely they would be everyone whispering sweet nothings into our ears all day!? Or is it only a self-proclaimed ghost hunter (and other whacky believers) who get the privilege of having them around? Pffft yeah right.
I like to be open in my train of thought throughout life, but unfortunately this is one to skip, or watch for comedic value, you choose.

Despicable episode. There is no mystery. No event that needs to be solved or one that has been solved by the episode's subject matter.
We're simply told a few stories about trips to haunted locations. No original footage.
Funny that everyone involved in these stories/trips has spent years involved in paranormal investigations, of course they have a stake and emotional investment to want to believe what they think they feel.
The so called skeptics of Don aren't really skeptics. They're either in on this scam or stupidly vulnerable
This episode might have scored a 5/10 if there was an actual case that Don assisted with, or if they spent the latter half with a completely independent non-belieber scrutinising and testing all aspects of these people's work.
Recorders play a big part in "proving" an entity is real, but as a lot of viewers point out: Have an actual non-believer with the team, once they get to the location, open a pair of brand new recorders and see how true it is.
One of the worst episodes there will ever be in the UM series.

Sceptics put Don Philips, a paranormal researcher to the test, taking him to various different places across the globe, where they try to disprove or prove his talents, and his link with Becky, a so called spirit guide.
Oh Dear, I had high hopes for this one, I'll be honest, I really struggled with it. As it was a British set mystery, I thought it would perhaps have been a little more grounded, less sensational, it sadly wasn't, i just couldn't buy into any of it.
The biggest mystery is how did I manage to get through the whole thing without nodding off, or hurling my remote control at the TV.
It was all biased, there was nobody to oppose the narrative, or throw in any doubt, the production team attempt to make us believe that this was all some kind of fact......
Don Phillips seems like a decent guy, but sadly that wasn't enough to stop this from being a painful watch.
Episodes like this seem to harm the series.
3/10.

This episode is a grifter talking absolute ***** for nearly an hour. Supposed scientific experiments sound like they've been devised by three mates in a pub. There is absolutely no unexplained mystery here other than how this managed to pass various levels of sign off and made it on to TV. If this is the standard to expect going forward then they need to just cancel the show now.
However, if you're gullible and easily swayed by terms like "energy" "portals" "frequencies" then you're in for a treat. It's heavy on smoke and mirrors, cheap parlour tricks and presenting absolute BS as unobjectionable fact.
