All I Can Say Is I'm Sorry

As a fan, I was really hoping for more, but this episode was mid at best. The animation felt clunky, with stiff movements and awkward transitions that took me out of the experience. On top of that, the episode leaned way too hard on super obvious cliché tropes-predictable moments, forced drama, and overused storytelling beats that made everything feel uninspired. While there were some decent moments, they weren't enough to make up for the lack of originality and polish. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it definitely didn't live up to expectations. Hoping the next episode improves. I dont understand these 10/10 reviews at all. Since this was only a filler, im still optimistic.

Dude what an episode 😖😖😖😖 every Thursday I am reminded why this is masterpiece of a show. When the Invincible episode featuring PowerPlex began, I thought it'd be a filler-a simple fight against a guy with lightning powers. I wanted the Invincible War, not this. But as the episode unfolded, it became something deeper. PowerPlex wasn't just another villain-his grief over losing his sister and child due to Invincible's battles was raw and real. The final twist, where his obsession leads to the tragic death of his own wife and son, was utterly heartbreaking. It's a powerful reminder that superhero conflicts leave real consequences, making this one of the most emotional episodes yet.

Currently in NOLA at mardi gras with the boiz and just experienced absolute peak cinema. All I can say is wow. Knew it was gonna be good but the highs and the lows, the ups and the downs, the cheers and the tears...... this is what Invincible is all about. Heart-wrenching and beautiful. Best title card usage of the series. The grief and heartbreak of being a normal person in this Invincible universe has never been more clear. I can't lie...... tears were shed. Powerplex was an amazing glimpse into the forgotten grief of season 1. Two seasons later it's easy to forget how devastating the events of Chicago were, but to those living in this world, they can never forget.

Felt like every good thing the episode did, it did something wrong...

Pros:

• Aaron Paul was incredible
• The consequences of HIS actions were devastating
• Monster Girl finally getting the belt
• Solid conversation from Oliver if Earth would forgive Omni Man (didn't really go that deep tho)

Cons

• Invincible having the weird exposition where he should acknowledge the consequences of his actions
• Invincible having that bit at the end where he expected remembering Power Plex's fam to resolve everything
• This episode doesn't really move anything forward and these themes should be in every episode, not just one to acknowledge this material

The first season was so good because the creators picked out issues very precisely and had them build into the main story. Seasons 2 & 3 feel like villain of the week stories and they use the idea of connecting to the overarching story by having the lazy end credit scene. This is the best filler episode this season, but this entire season has already been one big filler mess.

What started into a subversive take on classic superhero cartoons has turned into a parody of such. The plot is comically predictable, the moment I saw Aaron Paul's flashback, I knew it was going to be the same tired revenge plotline based on some random misconception. It's only made worse when you see that Aaron Paul already has evidence of Invincible's innocence, he just chooses to ignore it cause we need conflict. Oh, and the animation is REAL bad here, looks worse than season 1 to be honest. I'd say there's spoilers, but again, watch 30 seconds and you get the entire episode and the obvious conclusion that Batman the animated series and JLU are just infinitely better ways to spend your time.
