Why did we end up with this boring series???.. i loved Maggie and Negan in the original series.. dont make me hate them here please.. i feel like its just you guys getting tired without a purpose.. and you announced a third season for these old people REALLY .. PLEASE FINISH THIS.. i gave you 6stars only for Negan and Maggie who i love but the idea is boring.....
There are cornerstone characters that are entertaining (Neagan), watchable (Maggie) and then there are those boring/annoying ones that should have been killed off ages ago (pretty much everyone else). The dialogue can be good at times with Neagan and Maggie but it is too often boring, pointless or nonsensical. Characters keep magically escaping just to set up specific scenes and plot points later. It doesn't make sense and reeks of lazy writing. This episode was not satisfying to watch and the ending was lackluster and dumbfoundingly bad.
The plot is ridiculous at times where events that are too implausible for the viewer to stomach are happening frequently. Character motivations for Maggie, her terrible child and Neagan often don't make any sense and keep flip flopping just to drive the plot forward. Lazy writing again and again. Where did all of Neagan's people go??? Everyone is expecting the zealots from New Babylon to show up but no preparations are made? No lookouts or scouts are spread out on the mainland or at choke points? I guess everyone forgot about it other than mentioning them MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.
There is no consistency and no grounding in the reality that THEY CREATED. The plot in this episode is mediocre at best and the writing is subpar. I was expecting this episode to at least redeem some of this season/series. I was wrong. This last episode was a faint whimper of an end to a disappointing season in a lackluster TV series. I give the whole series a 5-6/10 and I think I'm done with it for good. If you are reading this still then you understand that this series is not well written or produced. If you gave this a perfect 10/10, you have to explain why something that is written so poorly could ever receive more than a 6.

It's always both exciting and sad to watch a season finale. Things tend to escalate, and this episode is no exception-though it wasn't one of the best season endings I've seen in the TWD universe. That said, in many ways, it follows a familiar pattern: a shocking, unexpected twist (or two), while still leaving the future wide open.
I would have liked a slightly more complete ending-something that truly clears the table for the next season. Over the course of this second season, Hershel has been becoming more and more unhinged, which is a bit of a shame. I liked how he started the season, seeming more mature, but after everything we've seen, he's shaping up to be a real wild card in the future. Well, we'll see what's next. It's just sad that we'll have to wait so long for Season 3.

Tell me how the entire votes average 7.1 for the whole series but the lowest rating for is a 7.3 and every other is above that?
Tell me why the ones who live has every episode between 8.4 and 9.0 but the avg rating for the series is a 7.8.
Tell me why that every positive and true review always has a thumbs down no matter how good the episode was?
The way I see it the downvoting has become such a regurgitated overhating trend it's become null and void so in reality a 7.5 is probably a 8.
Someone had to call it out. Solid finale.
This franchise has been on the upswing ever since season 9 and that's that.

- TriviaThe title of the episode comes from Benjamin Pierce saying "if history were a conflagration, these cannons would be the embers".
