I managed to cry watching this beautiful episode where literally everything was perfect: the direction, the animation, the soundtrack and especially the emotion conveyed in this beautiful episode. The entire plot from jugram and bazz b were the pinnacle of everything I've seen, in addition to the very well fitted extras and and the margins for theories make it something extremely perfect for an excellent episode, in an arc where the antagonists didn't have much depth (with exceptions), Jugram came to show that it does not fit into this select group. The voices were perfect and combined very well, the way it alternated between past and present was beautiful. It would be a It's a waste not to give this episode a 10, which in my opinion was the best of this arc so far.

Bleach TYBW Season 3 (The Conflict) Episode 12: "FRIEND"
First of all, what I need to declare is that for me..., Easily one my favorite episode of the Cour, and probably in the top 5 of all TYBW so far. Well done Pierrot, this was a brilliant adaptation, for Friend!
Then I would continue by saying that by now it is clear that this Friends story will not the end of Cour 3, meaning that this part will be 14 episodes long. Overall, I think this is good news and a great decision by the team. Happy news for Bleach Fans so far!!
And yeah finally we saw Jugram's and BazzB's past!
Immersing yourself in this vibrant and medieval Quincy world was an absolutely excellent experience from start to finish. I think it has great potential - it really sparked my imagination, which is saying a lot. Perhaps it goes without saying, but I would have liked to see more of it.
Obviously, this friendship wasn't the deepest or most complex we've ever seen that's for sure, but it still allowed the characters to grow in the way they needed to, and I think that was conveyed effectively. They achieved this with excellent direction, providing a very engaging story and a compact, enriching experience.
Of course, there are countless details to go into as to why this episode was so interesting, but I'll leave that to the other commenters. All I can say is that I was amazed at what I saw! It could have been longer, but it was still outstanding!
So yes, once again, another stellar looking episode. I'm excited for the two-parter next week. I'm very curious where they're going to end the Cour!

Jugo and Bazz spent their childhood together, but their paths diverged once they met Yhwach. They now stand against each other as enemies, but what's truly in their hearts? Meanwhile, Kenpachi Zaraki and Mayuri Kurotsuchi face off against the weirdest Quincy yet! Given Bazz-B's enduring popularity and "Friend's" strong reception among manga readers, expectations were understandably high for his animated duel against his childhood friend, Jugram Haschwalth. The fact that Thousand-Year Blood War's anime has been consistently good only made fans' hope even higher. Fortunately, "Friend"completely blew all expectations away. Regardless of the quality of Part 3 - The Conflict's coming finale is, "Friend" is easily one of the best episodes in both the cour and.
"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Episode 12 of Core 3 masterfully delves into the complex backstory of Jugram Haschwalth and Bazz-B, offering a poignant narrative that enriches the series' depth. The episode's exceptional art direction and fluid animation bring their history to life, seamlessly intertwining past and present to highlight the evolution of their relationship. Notably, the depiction of Yhwach's assault on Bazz-B's family adds a visceral layer to Bazz-B's motivations, enhancing audience empathy. The climactic battle between Jugram and Bazz-B is both emotionally charged and visually stunning, showcasing Studio Pierrot's commitment to quality. This episode not only provides a cinematic experience but also sets a new benchmark for character development within the series.
It was absolutely pinnacle of fiction both story wise and in terms of animation. The execution was perfect, Tsuru and Dali Chen gave us the best episode of this cour and Yuki Sato absolutely cooked with all those amazing cuts. I could not see the episode being better. PEAK FICTION. This is not the end of the fight, or should I say not the end of this moment and their friendship. We'll see some more in future episodes and Jugram's conclusion.
All the Yhwach scenes were just outwardly with One True Messiah and Hell's Die For Our Sins OSTs. The compositing was as goof as Yamamoto vs Yhwach. It's easily a 10/10 episode.
