"15 Days," written and directed by Robert James, is a heartfelt and inventive indie film that captures the spirit of resilience during one of the most challenging times in recent history. Set during the Covid-19 lockdowns, the story follows two best friends and coworkers at a bar and grill who turn to unconventional-and often hilarious-ways to make ends meet.
This film stands out for its authentic portrayal of economic struggle, creativity under pressure, and the unpredictable ways people adapt when everything is turned upside down. It's a comedy, yes, but one with depth and real-world relevance. It resonates especially if you've ever worked in the service industry or know someone who has.
What makes 15 Days particularly compelling is its fast-paced editing and unique tone, which keep you engaged from start to finish. The performances-ranging from professional actors to everyday people-bring a rawness and sincerity that's refreshing. Some of the delivery and tone evoke the charm of 1990s indie films, especially those by Hal Hartley, blending dry humor with thoughtful introspection.
This is not just a pandemic movie-it's a story about hustle, friendship, and the unexpected paths we take to survive. A great watch for fans of indie comedies and character-driven storytelling.

What a great and clever take on a really troubling and unbelievable time. A bit awkward at the beginning, and seemingly going in a whole different direction, we were in for a lot of surprises, twists and turns and quite humorous situations. The two leads worked well together and took us on a sometimes hilarious ride. The film did a great job of showing the unfairness and desperation so many people dealt with during the early days of Covid while presenting a very entertaining film. Well worth watching. I found it thought-provoking as well as a very satisfying and interesting viewing experience.
This felt like a soft core adult movie, not an honest attempt to convey struggles that service workers faced during the pandemic. If this were a story about two friends who made ends meet by utilizing their skill sets, it perhaps could have gone somewhere. There was nothing funny or thrilling about the situations that the two barely attractive main characters faced.
I'm not knocking the fact that this is a low budget endeavor- I often give leeway to such movies. I'm criticizing how stupid the script was and how no rational person would be entertained by it. The first few reviews on here probably were supplemented by Chat GPT.

How is it possible that the casting director hired all people that can't act whatsoever? This is embarrassingly bad. I got 30 minutes in and had to shut it off. Pure garbage. I literally can't believe that this movie was financially backed by anyone. I can't think of a worse movie I've ever watched before.
This movie was a lot of fun. The story of a couple of roommates who work in the service industry trying to make ends meet during the lockdown went in a lot of unexpected directions that had me giggling during several scenes. It's always a real treat when jokes land in indie films. Lead actors started off a little bit slow, but as the movie started gaining momentum, their characterizations and acting got a lot better, and many of the characters were well portrayed. A great way to spend an evening if you're looking for a light-hearted romp. Kudos to writer Robert Simmons for an unexpectedly good time!
