Eric Guilmette is one of my new favourite actors and this mini series is definitely my top favourite so far. It's funny, cute and exciting and Eric's facial expressions really bring you into the scene with him. My favourite part was when his co-star is clearly heartbroken and angry and raising her voice at him and the shocked look on Eric's face mixed with heart-break and confusion when seconds before he was trying to be funny, cheeky and loving. I'm sorry that a sad part is my favourite, it's not because I like seeing anyone hurt, it's just Eric's reaction seemed so genuine, it felt very real.
What Happens in Vegas is a comedy/drama vertical. It has laughter and romance. Every time i watch a series with Eric Guilmette in it he never seems to disappoint. Eric is known as the Alpha Werewolf in other series. He played other various roles. In his last series he played an Overprotective Husband which really brought out his characters dark side. Eric is one of those actors that belongs on the big screen. Every Actress he works with he has chemistry with. I have watched Grace in other series and she is a good actress. Grace paired up with Eric was a good move because this series was great with the two of them in it. The storyline was great. I recommend this series.
Grace Swanson as the female lead, Sophie Gladwin, a highly intelligent, strong, independent woman with an amazing talent in architecture. Despite having a trust fund to fall back on, Sophie wants to earn her own money and not rely on anyone else but herself to create a career! Grace's acting prowess is on full display once again in this series, I am yet to see a single vertical where she has disappointed. The emotion she can convey through facial expressions is outstanding and I just have to say, she is one of the most talented actresses in the vertical space!
Eric Guilmette as Lucas Worthington, or "John Bourbon" a kind-hearted, protector, and loving man who just wants his life to be his own and for someone to love him for who he is, not his money. The way he protects Sophie throughout the entire series without using his pull as CEO and allowing her talent to shine through is so sweet. Even the way he is kind to Bridget, despite her being a few screws short of a hardware store, you just know this character is a good man (and I think many girls dream). It is fantastic to see Eric back in a Rom-Com again, as we haven't seen him like this since "We Belong Together". Eric is a fantastic actor, and his versatility is unparalleled in the vertical space! Knowing how many projects this man has in post production, it was fantastic to wake up to a new series for my Thursday morning that allowed me to procrastinate.
Kelsey Maskell as Bridget Willaburg "the other woman" in this series is hilarious, I really loved that she wasn't the token villain and that she was able to have some fun with the role. Her offering to let Lucas "step out" on her and acting shocked every time he doesn't reciprocate her love had me giggling. Bridget is definitely "delulu" (Are the kids still saying that?) and she was so fun in this series.
The entire series is a barrel of laughs and general good vibes, it is a nice change to what we have been seeing on some platforms, it isn't sex heavy, violence against women heavy, and really only has 1 (ish) scene with topless Eric, and for the veteran vert watchers, it also includes the token "towel accidentally drops" scene. I have, and will never understand the "Clark Kent" disguise and how that fools anyone, but apparently it does... I have to say my favourite scene in this series is (without giving away spoilers) Slap, wine throw, slap, wine throw.
Also, following Eric and his "Glasses Needer" clip the other day, I must say there were multiple times in this series where I was giggling at my own stupid humour and referencing this, especially when Lucas says "How could I have been so Blind!?" I did say out loud "BECAUSE YOU'RE A GLASSES NEEDER!"
This one is a 9/10 for me, and this is simply because I would have loved the storyline to be fleshed out a little more, but it's a vertical and we don't always get that!
I also have to say I have so much respect for these 3 actors, as when they were filming this in January this year, in Turkey, they were dealing with the heartache of the devastating LA Fires and the fear and sadness that came along with that. So to be able to pull it together and create such a light-hearted fun series is really spectacular.

No is one of the best verticals I have watched! Both Grace and Eric put so much time, effort and emotion into this. They really got into character. Making you feel what they feel, and I would recommend everyone to watch it whether they're into Verticals or new them.
It was so well written and the acting was phenomenal. I felt so bad for Lucas when she broke it off and said she didn't love him, you could see the pain he felt.
It's a vertical I could watch over and over and never get bored.
Amazing work Eric Guilmette and Grace Swanson Well done to the everyone that made this vertical happen.

Sometimes you just need a lighthearted love story to make you smile. Eric Guilmette, as Lucas Worthington, and Grace Woods Swanson, as Sophie Gladwin, have beautiful chemistry together that pops every time they're on the screen. Whether it's the romance, the comedy, or emotion, it all feels authentic. Kelsey Maskell, as Bridget Vilebrook, was a perfect foil to their romance. While most of it is lighthearted, there are scenes full of emotion. Eric and Grace nailed these moments. I teared up along with them!
As an aside, this was filmed during the devastating fires in Los Angeles. Although their hearts were home while filming in Turkey, they put those emotions aside... or maybe because of those emotions...acted their hearts out. I highly recommend What Happens in Vegas!
