If Episode 1 is any indication, Slaysian Royale will keep us laughing, crying, and gasping until the final lip sync.

The curtain rose on Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale with not just rhinestones and runways, but with a heartfelt moment that set the tone for the season. Before the queens even made their grand entrances, the episode paused to honor the late Jiggly Caliente-beloved Drag Race icon, trans trailblazer, and fierce Filipina queen. A title card reading "Forever Fabulous" appeared on screen, sending a wave of emotion through fans around the globe. It was a powerful reminder that drag is not only about spectacle, but also about legacy, community, and love.

Episode 1 delivered everything: a tearful tribute that grounded the show in heartfelt respect, dazzling cultural pageantry, and fierce competition from the jump. Slaysian Royale isn't just a celebration of drag-it's a love letter to Asian artistry, resilience, and the queens who paved the way. If this is how they're starting, we better buckle up-this season is going to be legendary.

It was serving and so funny.... i love how unhinged drag race philippines is.. like its refreshing to see out of all the franchises.. the girls look were serving mama. I love the stage , itss huge and mama paos mug . Im just really sad someone was sent home on the first episode,, was hoping it was non elimination.

There were lots of happenings in this episode that really need a little more time in order to be fleshed out completely. I like the first 20 minutes, but all the way from the awkward mini challenge down to the anticlimatic elimination, I found the remaining of the episode really underwhelming.

I wish, it's a design challenge instead of a pageant parody so we could get to know these queens further. You know, this will also help them, especially the international queens to adjust. For sure, the entire episode will not be as congested as this.

Moreover, sound editing is so choppy. You can obviously hear Mama Pao's critiques and even the commentaries from our queens being poorly trimmed. Ugh. It's just frustrating. Nevertheless, it's a great runway presentation from our queens.

Yeah, the questions were pressing issues in the LGBTQia+ community and it could have been an avenue to disseminate the right information so others can learn. Everyone can do better. But one thing that truly made me in glee were the showcase of outfits that they brought especially the Philipino girls who came in really prepared for this season. It could have been that they are local, but Marina and Eva also brought in spectacular visions on the runway and they were not local in the international franchises they joined in. So, it is safe to say that these philipino girls didn't come to play, they came to slay the game.
