Camera Shy

Back to stalking, preparing a kill room, the art of being a serial killer. I'm so happy that they didn't stray too far from the original formula and that we're in a cold, unfriendly New York City that contrasts very well with the sunny, aggressive Miami we saw in the original series.

Dexter's plot seems to be refreshing, Harrison won't be getting into a boring high school plot again and I'm looking forward to seeing Batista in action more often.

If the pacing continues like this, the season could be very good. I'm really enjoying the way they're working with the characters, it seems like a good new start and I hope it's the last one this time.

Watching this feels a lot like watching the original Dexter, but now it's set in New York City instead of Miami. The atmosphere, the narration, and the main character's inner conflict all feel very familiar - it's almost like they just changed the location but kept the same blueprint. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, because it brings back a sense of nostalgia for fans of the original series. It's interesting to see how the New York setting adds a slightly different vibe, with its crowded streets and darker corners, which makes some scenes feel fresh even if the overall formula stays the same. The writing and pacing were tight, and the lead actor does a good job capturing that same eerie charm. Overall, I thought it was a really solid episode that makes me curious to see where the season goes from here.

The second episode continues the thread established in the first, showing a development that reinforces the protagonist's characterization. The original Miami Dexter is introduced, with a focus on his role as a meticulous and observant killer, distinct from the more serious tone he had in "New Blood." The incorporation of classic elements, such as his way of stalking and monitoring his victims, as well as his characteristic humor, helps maintain the essence of the character. Since the series "Original Sin," we see a progressive improvement in our favorite serial killer. The development so far raises expectations about how the plot will evolve in the upcoming episodes of "Dexter: Resurrection." This is a great episode, and I hope it continues to surprise us.

I like the new direction we're going in, we start the episode off with an already sketchy uber ride. To no surprise the man turns out to be a serial killer. Dexter in NYC and checks in on his sons "kill room" fixes his mistakes cause the police are zeroing in. Then later when dexter is in a uber ride he learns about the murderer and we can already tell its going to be kill time in an ep or two. Charley is a new character were introduced to, well fully introduced since last episode and already she is full of surprises... Im guessing shes tied to this group or whatever that we saw in the trailer. Well look forward to next week, staying up this late I should catch some sleep.

It's so great after the awful and dismal 'New Blood' series to have the great Dexter (Michael C. Hall) humor back. It's also excellent to see that Harry Morgan (James Remar) is going to be prominently featured.

Clearly, this series is going to take place in NYC, although I had hoped it would return to Miami where Dexter belongs.

Dexter is making new friends in this episode and we meet Uma Thurman (Charley) and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Blessing Kamara).

Of course, Jack Alcott (Harrison) is also back which is why Dexter is in New York City.

With two episodes down, 'Dexter: Resurrection' is off to a good start and already much better than 'Dexter: New Blood.'
