The start was good; you can see that it's supposed to be nuanced but it just slightly falls short. I agree with most other reviewers that it lacks the charm of the Korean version. It's the ending that's the problem, it's not satisfying. Villains: no one gets their just desserts and the female villain sill gets to traumatized the FL which is all she really wanted. All the other awful people the ruined the FL's first life just drift off out of the storyline with no satisfying consequences. The built up to the big finally never reached its peak and the big finally was similarly lacking. The last 2 episodes at least felt rushed, if they'd done 12 episodes instead of ten then they could have at least padded out the story more. I also agree that the chemistry between the FL and the ML was lacking and not at convincing as people who are convinced that their love is doomed or even just half convinced - I don't think it's the actors faults though I think it's down to the writing and directing. Also the dramatic moments never truly felt dramatic (somehow).
Overall I went into this thinking it was a more gritty less comedically punchy version of the Korean show, and it definitely tried to be but it really just fell to short to satisfy.
On the other hand it was still very good.

I don't usually watch TV dramas, but Marry My Husband really surprised me in the best way. From the very first episode, I was hooked. The performances were outstanding; each actor brought depth and emotion to their role, making the story feel authentic and engaging.
What stood out most to me was how well the series captured Misa's emotional journey. You can genuinely feel her pain, strength, and transformation, which made her character incredibly relatable. And Reina? She's written and portrayed in such a way that you can't help but despise her more with each episode which, in a drama like this, means they did it right.
The pacing was solid too, tight and compelling, without dragging things out unnecessarily like some dramas tend to do. Every episode had a purpose and kept the story moving forward.
While a second season seems unlikely, I'd definitely be there for it if it ever happens. This show is a hidden gem, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys emotional stories with strong characters and just the right amount of drama.

This is better than the Korean version primarily because the actors seem more relatable to actual people than a doll-like version. The acting has more depth, even though the storyline is the same.
The FL and ML have used the entirety of facial expression to carry out the conversation. The ML beautifully uses the longing looks to convey his unrequited love. The FL does appear to maintain the essence of her previous life as a housewife through her apparent transformation. So that we can see a grown woman through the metamorphosis. This was missing in the Korean version. Loved it.

I'm not really a fan of Japanese dramas, but "Marry My Husband" completely changed my perspective. This is the only Japanese drama that truly captured my heart and left a deep impression on me. From the very first episode, I was drawn into the story and couldn't stop watching. It's a drama filled with raw emotions, unexpected twists, and a beautiful message about love, betrayal, revenge, and personal growth.
What I loved most was the character development. The lead female character was so relatable, and her journey from pain to empowerment was inspiring. You could feel every emotion she went through - from heartbreak, anger, and sadness, to strength, courage, and healing. The way she fought for herself after being betrayed by the people she loved most was powerful and moving.
The drama also made me reflect on life, relationships, and second chances. It reminded me how important it is to value ourselves, to walk away from toxic people, and to never be afraid to start again. Every episode was engaging and full of meaning, and even the side characters had depth and unique stories.
The acting was top-notch, the music enhanced the emotional scenes, and the pacing of the plot kept me hooked. "Marry My Husband" is not just a revenge drama - it's a story of strength, forgiveness, and finding love and happiness in unexpected places. I honestly didn't expect to love it this much, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance.
I highly recommend this drama to anyone looking for something emotionally powerful, with meaningful lessons and unforgettable characters. It's one of those rare series that stays in your heart long after the final episode.

Having watched the Korean version, this version was very disappointing.
I did not watch the webtoon and I suppose many did not as well. I did see the Korean version first and so I had high expectations of the Japanese version.
The majority of the problems came down to poor writing in my opinion.
Both had good actors but the Japanese version had hits and misses on this, some shone through all the time, others were spotty at best.
Overall, I so enjoyed the slight comic moments in the Korean series. Honestly the only thing I did not enjoy in the Korean series was the ML's ex-fiancée and all that came along with her. Her involvement ended well but added an element that should have been kept to a minimum, (in my opinion).
The Japanese version sorely missed out big time on one element that was just common sense in any intelligent persons view. BUYING STOCKS AND MAKING MONEY FROM IT SINCE YOU KNEW THE FUTURE. They mentioned they knew the future so many times yet did not take advantage of it. They listed one negative or all the things they could NOT DO, but missed out on the advantageous things they COULD DO.... duh.
All and all I prefer the Korean version and watched it again. This only moved me to think, just ok.
