For the people who calling this as ANIME. This is not Anime. Anime are generally those animated content which is produced only on Japan.
This is Donghua, and this is produced in China.

The premiere episode of "Lord of the Mysteries", THE FOOL , is an absolute triumph.
The animation is breathtakingly beautiful and seamless, setting a high standard for the series. As someone who has read the Lord of the Mysteries novel (only few chapters), I found the pacing quite fast, but it still captures the essence of the story effectively.
The atmosphere and art style are captivating, creating a serene yet immersive experience that's hard to resist. The ending song is so compelling that skipping it feels impossible.
The meeting between Justice, The Hanged Man, and The Fool is brilliantly written and executed, delivering a standout moment that hooks you instantly.
Overall, this is easily one of the best pilot episodes I've ever seen, blending stunning visuals, a gripping story, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

As someone who knows NOTHING about the novel or the story, the first episode was a bit rushed and complicated. More and more technical terms came along faster and faster, and I couldn't follow it all. So if a novel fan wants to explain the basics to me, they can add me on DC: tapuliam. I found it hard to follow the whole thing, which is a shame, because it looks really cool, and I can imagine the novel being just as good with all the depth, world-building, economic system, etc. Nevertheless, the animation and vibe were stunning. The episode felt really cinematic, and I'll definitely keep watching.
I just watched the first episode of Lord of the Mysteries, and I'll be honest-this one's not your usual anime. There are no flashy battles, no loud main characters yelling about friendship or power-ups. Instead, it feels like walking into a cold, foggy alley at midnight... and realizing you're not alone.
The story kicks off with Klein Moretti, a regular guy living in a Victorian-inspired city called Tingen. He's poor, smart, and just trying to make ends meet when he stumbles across something weird-a strange diary, old supernatural symbols, and a ritual he probably shouldn't have done. That's when everything changes.
What I really liked is how grounded it all felt. Klein isn't some chosen hero or overpowered guy. He's just a curious dude who suddenly finds himself surrounded by hidden forces and ancient knowledge. The way he reacts? Relatable. He's confused, scared, but also kind of fascinated. Just like we are as viewers.
Visually, the anime looks great-dark colors, candle-lit rooms, creepy basements... it nails the atmosphere. It really feels like you're in a world where magic is real, but hidden behind locked doors and secret handshakes. And the background music? Subtle but eerie. Perfect for a story like this.
I won't lie-if you're someone who needs fast-paced action right away, this might feel a bit slow. But that's not a bad thing here. It's more like peeling back layers of a mystery, piece by piece. There's something exciting about not knowing what's going on, but wanting to know more. Episode 1 doesn't explode out of the gate-but it doesn't have to. It quietly grabs you by the collar and says, "There's something strange going on. Don't look away." If you're into mystery, occult stuff, or love stories where the MC thinks before acting, you should give this a shot.

The animation and voice acting were really good, but they really rushed through the story. It's a little understandable considering that most people watching this show will be fans of the novel and already familiar with the story, but that makes the show a lot less accessible to anyone who hasn't read it. I've watched the second episode too, and it has the same problem where they speedrun the story. I still liked it tho, and will definitely watch the rest of the episodes when they come out. Also, the end song is an absolute BANGER and I will add it to my playlist when i can, because it SLAPS hard~

Best anime/donghua ever. They mysteries the characters the powersystem all are incredible and the worldbuilding is the best i ever seen or read . A truly masterpiece and it get a 100% recommendation for everyone who loves mysteries and a show with deep lore heavy wordlbuilding great story telling and good character growth. The Animation was the only thing that could helt it back but even the animation is soo good . Its like watching a movie every episode. The Main character Klein moretti ais also very interesting because of his personal identity crisis with his past self and the new tranmirgated klein.
