In general it's worth for me to see this movie. I have no word to say, i love Vietnam history. It reflected nearly exactly what happened in the past( the movie show its slighter than in real history). Nothing or no pull anyone down, just fact. And a little supprise is the enemies they are quite handsome and big too.

I've watched the film twice, and each time it moved me to tears. It is an extremely realistic portrayal of the 81-day-and-night battle to defend Quang Tri Citadel during the Vietnamese people's resistance war against the Americans. A highly realistic and historically valuable film. It features many cinematic camera angles, is both tragic and epic, yet also includes many humorous situations. Highly recommended for everyone to watch and enjoy.

I cried so much after watching Red Rain. For me, this film truly deserves to be known by more people, to be seen by more audiences, and to reach much higher box office results. It carries the pain, the losses, and the brutality of war in general, and especially the devastating battle of Quang Tri.

Some people may like the character Quang because of his cool appearance, good looks,.... However, in my view, his ideals are rather selfish and vague. On the other hand, the Vietnamese soldiers fought for something much greater - the independence of the nation, the restoration of peace, and the hope that Vietnamese could finally live in harmony and happiness.

"Mua do" is not just a film, but an epic cinematic poem recreating the 81 days and nights of fierce battles to defend Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. Inspired by the novel of the same name by writer Chu Lai, the film delivers a powerful experience both emotionally and visually.

1. Story & Message

The film tells the story of young soldiers - mostly students - who left behind their dreams and youthful ambitions to put on the military uniform. Through this, the audience deeply feels the courage, sacrifice, and the value of independence and freedom. The best part is that the film avoids dry glorification, instead choosing to tell very human stories, showing us the people within the war - heroic yet vulnerable.

The young cast, including Do Nhat Hoang, Phuong Nam, Lam Thanh Nha... portrayed authentically the innocence, determination, and resilience of the twenty-something generation. Their natural performances in moments of camaraderie, love, and heartbreaking loss allow the audience to easily empathize.

The battle scenes are carefully staged, with explosions and smoke recreated realistically yet without being overwhelming. The cinematography is artistic, sometimes poetic, highlighting the contrast between the beauty of youth and the brutality of war. The soundtrack is both epic and melancholic, amplifying the historical atmosphere.

Viewers leave the theater not only moved, but also filled with gratitude. Red Rain reminds today's generation that peace was earned through blood and sacrifice, and that young people must cherish and carry forward that spirit in modern life.

I find Rain of Red to have a strong screenplay, adapted from a famous novel, staying faithful to history while portraying both a humanistic perspective and a heroic spirit. The sets are carefully prepared, and the actors deliver heartfelt, emotional performances. The ensemble cast is highly commendable, though one cameo feels somewhat out of tune and slightly disrupts the film's emotional flow. At times, the film also feels slightly stage-like, with certain repeated scenes of the Republic of Vietnam meetings becoming somewhat tedious. Still, it is a powerful and moving film overall - definitely worth watching. The good news is that the movie comes with English subtitles, making it accessible to international viewers.
