Dept. Q is a masterclass in crime drama-tautly plotted, impeccably written, and brimming with tension from first frame to final reveal-driven by Carl Morck's unflappable nature, disregard for external noise, sharp wit, and steadfast resolve, alongside Assad's relentless determination, mysterious yet extraordinarily potent policing prowess and effectiveness (his character nearly steals the show), all set within a double mystery; Season 1 delivers a fully realized, emotionally resonant mystery that resolves satisfyingly while leaving tantalizing threads for what promises to be an even more gripping Season 2.
I've watched it twice already. Simply enthralling! It masterfully introduces multiple social discourses without overwhelming or imposing any single perspective on the viewer. Life is a journey, and the show gracefully guides you through the journeys of its main characters. It taught me a lot about vulnerability. It was interesting seeing the story progress through the lens of Justin and Keisha. Both teens coming from two different backgrounds, and reconnecting years later after initially meetings in their primary school days. Overall, it was a sweet story and I would highly recommend for many to watch it!
A revolutionary comic book adapted for current audiences. The performances are brilliant, the scenery of a apocaliptic Buenos Aires Is accomplished by the end of the first episode. Bruno Stagnaro deserves praise for diving into a genre not usually produced in Latin America while respecting a unique source material (given the author's dissapearance more than 40 years ago by the country's last military dictatorship). I've never seen such a breathtaking piece of sci-fi done in this continent without english dialogue. Hopefully foreign audiences can jump over the subtitles bar to discover a wonderful piece of filmmaking.
