This movie is great. As someone who lost someone unexpectedly, it was really heartbreaking. You would feel guilty if you ever feel happy without grieving for that person you lost for the first year. That's what I saw from this movie. I can relate to it. But I don't know if it's just me but the movie doesn't really connect with me emotionally. The story-telling is great. The acting is great. The actors are great. It just didn't connect with me. And it is sad. Because I was expecting much from this movie. Maybe because I just saw the leading character grieving and moving on. Not shouting and being angry for losing someone unexpectedly. We all know there is 5 stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. After the death of his husband, it is straight to denial, depression and acceptance. I don't know if that's normal but I know it didn't happen to me. I experienced all 5 stages of grief when I lost my father. What's more if you really love that person and that person is your soulmate? To not invalidate the feelings of others, maybe they are also like the leading character who don't feel angry for losing someone they love for the first months. Overall, critically speaking, I think this movie is great but it lacks emotion.
The movie is a wild dive into mindless gore and absurdity. With its heavy dose of over-the-top violence, nudity, and sexual escapades, it embraces the campy horror genre without any reservations. The plot is thin, but that's not the point; this film revels in shock value and outrageous moments that make it a guilty pleasure. While I rate it a modest 3 out of 10 stars for its lack of depth, it's undeniably fun for those who enjoy chaotic carnage. If you're seeking a movie that doesn't take itself seriously and prioritizes entertainment over substance, this one delivers in all the most ridiculous ways.
So the movie is kinda boring. You just watch how the parents are getting overly paranoid of supernatural things while the children aren't (megalodon is an extinct type of shark which they made a supernatural in the movie). But I'm not gonna lie, this movie is great when it comes to making stories up and then actually corroborate. Moral of the story: "People can be unethical for the ones they love and be ignorant of the consequences. Yet they can also do the most ethical way even if it means sacrificing oneself just for their love ones. Love can be selfish and selfless depends on the perspective of a lover"
