It places ordinary, desperate people in a controlled environment and strips away every social norm to reveal what we're all capable of when pushed to the edge. The show doesn't rely on monsters or jump scares, the horror comes from the choices people make when survival, pride, and money are on the line.
It masterfully explores moral collapse, the illusion of fairness, and how systems built on inequality manipulate the vulnerable. Greed, guilt, trauma, and betrayal are laid bare, showing how thin the line is between civility and savagery. What makes it hit even harder is how disturbingly realistic it feels not dystopian, but alarmingly close to the world we already live in. It's a brutal reminder that under the right (or wrong) conditions, anyone can break. Or worse, adapt.

I would lie saying "Monster" is not a well-made film with an incredible performance by Charlize Theron, but I kind of wish I could scrub it from my brain or unsee it. It is one of those movies that pulls you in, makes you feel things you did NOT sign up for, and then leaves you sitting there questioning humanity. Morally, it grossed me out... It is one of those movies that is so good it actually ruins your day. I respect it, I acknowledge it, but I will not be rewatching. Ever. It's powerful but way too heavy and uncomfortable for me to revisit.
Longlegs is one of the most overrated and overhyped horror films in recent time. The slow pacing, lack of engaging storytelling, and drawn-out sequences make it a chore to sit through. It took me three days to finish simply because of how boring it was.
The film tries to build suspense but ends up dragging, with very little actually happening for the majority of the runtime. If you're looking for real tension or disturbing horror, you might as well skip to the last 15 minutes-easily the most interesting part of the movie.
Overall, Longlegs fails to live up to the hype. If you're expecting a terrifying experience, you'll likely be disappointed.
